A week ago, Tres went to the shelter and got a schedule for the home visit today. This is going to be his first time so medyo kabado. Dito muna siya pupuntahan sa unit niya tas he has to bring them to QC kasi he mentioned na baka iwan niya din dun si Kobe if he has work so, they have to see the house and the family too.

"Umayos ka nga. You look so tensed." Dev said.

Yes, she's here. Nakuwento kasi sa kanya ni Tres yung mangyayari today and she decided na samahan siya dito. Why? Pambawi daw. 🤷🏻‍♀️

"Eh kasi, may questions daw yun sabi ni Jas.." Tres said. "Baka may mali akong masabi tas hindi na nila ibigay si Kob sakin."

Dev creased her forehead, "Who's Jas?" She asked.

"Siya yung tumulong sakin na makakuha ng bagong papers." Tres answered.

"Oh." Dev said 'cause this is the first time she's heard about her. "You should've asked her kung ano yung mga tanong para nakapag-prepare ka."

"Eh nahihiya naman ako." Tres said.

"Oh, edi magtiis ka. Nahihiya ka pala eh." Dev said and crossed her arms.

"Bat ang sungit? Kinakabahan na nga ako eh." Tres said.

"Ewan ko sayo. Bahala ka." Dev said and just focused on her phone.

"Luh." Bulong ni Tres.

Tumayo na lang siya at nagtatalon na parang nagwa-warm up for a basketball game. Lol. Mayamaya pa, may narinig na silang kumakatok kaya lalo siyang kinabahan.

"Hi, sir. Mr. Alejandro Yael Valdez, right sir?" Tanong nung babae na naka-DSWD shirt.

"Yes, ma'am. Pasok po kayo." Tres said and smiled.

The woman and the guy he's with, smiled at Dev when they went in.

"Uh, you want something? Water, juice, coffee?" Tres offered.

"Ah, no na sir. We're good, thanks." The girl answered. "Anyway, I'm Grace Santos, head of the home visit team ng DSWD. This is Mark my assistant. I know, you kinda have an idea what's gonna happen today, so let's start?"

"Yes po, sure." Tres answered and smiled kahit kinakabahan siya.

Si Dev, nakaupo at nakikinig lang sa kanila.

"Bago ang lahat, kamusta naman po kayo dito?" Grace asked.

"Okay naman po. Mag-isa lang po akong tumitira dito eh. Medyo malungkot kaya for sure, Kobe will light this house up once he gets here." Tres answered and smiled.

"You really like the kid, no, sir?" Mark said.

"Sobra, sir." Tres said.

"Okay, sir. We just have a few questions for you today." Grace said. "First up, how would you describe yourself?"

"Parang job interview pala." Tres joked which made them chuckle. Si Dev, napailing na lang. "Well, on a serious note, I'd describe myself as someone who's independent. Hindi naman po sa pagmamayabang but, I know sa sarili ko na I can stand on my own feet. My parents died kasi when I was just 13, and though, my grandparents are still with me, it's very different kasi if parents mo talaga yung kasama mo. So, I'm pretty confident with that one, na I can really live on my own, stand on my own two feet kasi medyo nasanay na rin, growing up." He said and smiled.

Grace nodded at him, "I see, I see." She said. "Next, what do you do for a living?"

"I'm an engineer and I work in an engineering company just a few minutes away from here." Tres answered.
