"Girl, ngayon na daw surgery ni Tres." Bianca told Dev.

"Uhm, who's Tres?" Eli asked.

Naglalakad kasi sila pabalik sa mga office nila kasi kakagaling lang nila sa meeting.

"Uhm, friend. Friend namin." Dev answered.

Eli stood infront of Dev, "Weh? Boyfriend mo ata yun eh." He said.

"No! Hindi ko boyfriend yun, no!" Dev said and walked past them then went straight to her office.

"Lagot ka." Bianca said and chuckled. "Bye! Yari ka! Hahaha."

"Wait lang, Biancs." Eli said.

"Oh?"

"Sino nga yung Tres?" He asked.

"Friend nga namin." Bianca answered.

"I don't believe you. Nakita ko may picture sila ni Dev sa IG eh." Sabi ni Eli.

"Malisyoso ka rin eh, no? May picture lang eh." Bianca said. "Hindi nga yun boyfriend ni Dev. He was courting Dev but he let her go kasi he's afraid that he might die from his surgery. Ayun, ayaw daw niya masaktan si Dev pag namatay siya."

Eli creased his forehead, "Eh? Anong reason yun? Bakit ganun?" He said.

Bianca shrugged her shoulders, "We'll never understand until we're the ones on his shoes." She said and went to her office.

Si Eli naman, imbis na office niya pumunta, dumiretso sa office ni Dev.

"Uy, sorry. Akala ko kasi, boyfriend mo yun eh." He said.

"Okay lang. Not that it's a big deal." Dev said.

"But, he's gonna have surgery today." Eli said.

"And?" Dev said.

"Bianca told me who he is and I'm thinking, you might wanna pay him a visit, downstairs in the OR?" Sabi ni Eli.

"Uh, no. Hindi na. Kasama naman niya yung family and friends niya, for sure." Dev said.

"You sure?" Eli asked.

"Yeah, sure." Dev creased her forehead.

"Well, how 'bout lunch, later?" Ngiting sabi ni Eli.

Dev chuckled, "Sabi ko na eh!" She said.

"Just trying my luck, but you agreed! Hahaha." Eli said.

"I never say no for free food, anytime. Alam mo yan." Dev said and smiled.

"So, yes?" Eli asked.

"Yes.." Dev answered. "Make sure, I'll eat some good food."

"I never feed you bad food." Eli said and they both chuckled. "Anyway, I have to go. Sure ka, ayaw mo puntahan sa baba? Pwed--"

"Eli, no. I'm okay." Dev said and smiled.

"Owkay." Eli said and nodded. "See you later!"

"Laters!" Dev said and he left.

Once alone in her office, Dev sighed deeply. Who is she kidding? She badly wants to go visit Tres and wish him some good luck for the operation. She wants to see him and be there for him. But, she doesn't know how. She feels like she's not needed there. Like, no one even told her that the surgery's happening today. It's as if, all of them have easily forgotten about her.

She took a deep breath, "C'mon, Dev. He'll be fine." She said to herself.

She just checked her patients' records to divert her attention from what she's thinking of. Hours passed and she was able to finish most of her paper works, so she took a quick break to make a coffee for herself. She's drinking her coffee while staring at outside from the window when her phone beeped.
