Xiaojun's POV

"Hey." I smile at y/n. "Hi." She answered. "Um you look... really pretty, today." I nervously bite my lip. "Thank you Xiaojun." She smiles sweetly. "How was your evening yesterday, you had dance class right?" She nods. "It was okay." She says. "We repeated a lot." She explains. "That's good right?" I question. "Yeah sure." A silence followed. "What did you do yesterday?" She tries keeping up the conversation. "I babysit my neighbour's kids." I tell her. "Aww that's cute."

"They're little devils, believe me. Nothing cute about these 2." I chuckle. "Ow. That's sad, I like kids and I think it's important my future husband can take good care of kids." My head shot up. "Really? Well I am good with the kids it's just they don't listen very well." I say. "Are you sure it's the kids? I mean I know a lot of people who just don't know how to take care of them. Omg I'm so sorry that sounds so rude." She apologises. "No it's fine. But you got maybe any tips?" I ask her. "Mhm maybe I can come over and help you then. It really depends from kid to kid."

"Sure, if you want, tonight I'm going again." I tell her. "Okay I'll be there." She smiles before leaving to class. "What was that?" Hendery asks me. "Y/n's gonna help me take care of the kids." I smile. "Oh that's great! You gonna make a move?" He wiggles his eyebrows. "Shall I?" I ask. "You definitely should! This is your chance." He tells me. "Okay, I'm gonna confess and ask her out tonight." I say excited. I can't wait until school's over.

My doorbell rang right before I had to go to the neighbours. That must be y/n. I skip my way to the front door and opened with a big smile. "Hi!" I was maybe a little bit too enthusiastic. "I'm still on time?" I nod. "I'd say come in but we gotta be next doors so let's go." I checked if I got my keys and phone and closed the door behind me. I knock on the door. "Xiaojun, thank you for coming but I'll have to cancel. I'm sorry. My husband got sick so we're staying home." She explained. "Oh that's fine. No problem. I hope he gets better soon, have a great evening."

We walked back to my house. "I'm sorry that you had to come over for nothing. I didn't know this'd happen." I tell y/n. "It's okay. I got nowhere to be so... mind if I come inside?" I couldn't believe she asked that. She wants to stay? "Please come in." I opened the door for her. "Act like you're at home." I tell her as she sits down on the couch. "Want anything to drink?" I ask her. "You have coffee?" I nod and go to the kitchen.

When I got back with her coffee I see her standing and looking at the different family pictures on the wall. "Is this you as kid?" She asks, I shyly nod. "I know I'm an u-" she cut me off. "You're so cute as kid." She giggles. "Cute? Really?" Y/n nods and smiles at me. "And you turned out very handsome." I know I was gonna turn all red. "Thanks. You're also very beautiful." She starts blushing and looking away. "Uh your coffee." I hand her the mug. "Oh thanks." I really like her and I'm sure she does too.

We sit down on the couch. "Shall we watch a movie?" I ask her. "Yeah, which one?" She asks. "Doesn't matter to me, you may choose." I tell her and let her choose something. We watch in silence. I sometimes take a glance at y/n, she looks really pretty. I noticed that when she is concentrated she pouts slightly. It's so cute. She shuffled and sits closer to me. "A-are you cold?" Why did I stutter. "Just a little." She answered. I take a blanket and wrap her up. "Is that better?" I ask.

"Yeah, I guess." She sighs. Did I do something wrong? Wait. Was I supposed to hold her in my arms instead of a blanket? Oh I'm so stupid! I look back at the screen. Y/n scoots even closer to me. "This is okay right?" I look her in the eyes and nod with a smile. Her eyes looked down at my lips then back at my eyes. She leans closer. This is my sign, just kiss her back. I close my eyes as our lips touched. Her hand on my cheek as I place my hands carefully on her waist.

"Y/n I love you." I confess. "Oh no. I can't do this, this is wrong." She gasps. I look confused at her panicked state, was my kiss that bad? "I have a boyfriend." She says. My eyes widened. "You what?" She gives me a guilty look. "I'm so sorry." She apologises. "But... what? I'm sorry I don't get it." I say. "I do like you Xiaojun but I'm dating someone. I'm really stupid I'm sorry." She says. "Are you willing to break up with him?" I ask her. "Y/n?" She was quiet. "Yeah, Of course. I love you."

She cups my face with her hands and kissed me again. I kiss her back, trying to not think about her boyfriend. "No, I can't do this." I say as I carefully push her off of my lap. "I understand that. But I promise I'll break up with him." She tells me. "Do it now." She looks me in my eyes. "Through the phone?" She asks. "Through phone or in person I don't care but I can't be with you if you're still dating someone else." I say. "I understand that completely. I'll go now. Wait for me please." She got up. "Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere." I smile. She pecks my cheek before leaving the house.

A/N: I had my job interview, everything went great and I got accepted! I'm so happy and even my teachers and classmates congratulate me and are happy for me🥺 For once everything seems to go so well
