Y/N POV

Soulmates, it's something everyone has. Someone special who understands you without even saying anything. When you're near them a light will start to shine, the closer you get the brighter until you meet that person face to face. Until the day of today I haven't met that person before. I was now getting ready for work. I work at a restaurant, I take the orders and serve the food. "Y/n you're here great!" My boss says. He was extra happy today.

"We have a new worker, Doyoung. Could you help him and explain how we work?" I nod in response. "Great, he's normally in the kitchen." My boss smiles. I go to the kitchen and as soon as I got there a light starts shining around the era of my heart. I ignore it and wash my hands before continuing. I saw a taller male sitting. That must be Doyoung. "Hi, I'm y/n." I smile but as soon as I stood in front of him the light got eye blinding. It stopped and we look at each other in shock.

"Are you my soulmate?" I ask. "I think so." He smiles. "Well then soulmate let's get you to work. I'll explain some basics then you can practice a little and by then the restaurant will open and it's time for the real work." I explained to Doyoung. It's so exciting to know I've found my soulmate but we gotta stay serious and work right now, it's so difficult because I wanna know more and get to know him. This is what I've been waiting for my whole life! I started with teaching the basics to Doyoung and he did it well.

Time skip

It's been a couple of weeks. Since we met each other, me and Doyoung get along so so well as expected. He now managed to master the skills of being a waiter and we work as the best team! Doyoung was taking some orders at the restaurant as I waited in the kitchen for the meal of another group of clients. The same light as with Doyoung started to shine. "What? How?" I mumbled to myself. How come there's the soulmate light when I already got Doyoung? The doors opened again, Doyoung walking in.

"Hah you won't believe it, but there's a guy and his light started shining and now they looking through the whole restaurant for another light." He laughs until I turned to face him. "Oh, what? But you're my soulmate." Doyoung says confused to why I got a second time my light. "This is the order of table 6." Doyoung gave his note to the head chef. "Y/n. What does this mean?" He asks me. "I don't know. I'm sorry." I was feeling guilty, as if I'm betraying Doyoung. "Food for table 4!" The bell from the chefs rings. "I gotta go." I say taking the plates with me.

"Wait, you can't go. If you do the lights will connect, but you're my soulmate." Doyoung stops me and pulls me by my arm which for I dropped a plate. "What's going on here?" The boss walks in. "Y/n! This is food waste, a broken plate and you're playing with the time! We have clients waiting!" He yells at me. "I'm sorry sir." I bow. "You're cleaning this mess, Doyoung you bring the new food to the table." He instructs. "Yes sir." The chefs made some new food of what was left with the previous meal.

After a while many had left except that one group with my supposedly 2nd soulmate. I still was confused how I have 2 soulmates. I walk out as I got a task to clean the tables. The light starts to be brighter again. I was cleaning up trying to ignore the light and the group. "Excuse me." I hear a voice call me. "My college will help you." I answer as I walk back to the kitchen. "But... I'd want to ask you something." I sigh and turn around. The male was standing right in front of me.

The light being eye blinding once again. "So it's you." The boy smiles. "I'm sorry but she already has her soulmate." Doyoung takes my hand and pulls me with him. "Let go of me, I need to do my job." I walked back to continue cleaning the tables. "What did he mean with you already have a soulmate?" I sigh. "Doyoung is my soulmate, this light thingy has already happened with him." I say. "So you have 2 soulmates?" He asks. "I guess. But I don't know what it means or what I have to do with it." I tell him.

"I know, Jaemin didn't you have 2 soulmates?" He asks one of his friends. "No I was one of the 2." He tells us. "So your soulmate had to choose?" I questioned. "Yes, actually it was more like or they chose to be with the 2 soulmates or they choose 1 of the 2." I slowly nod. "And what happened?" The boy who's name I still don't know asked. "I chose to remain friends with both my soulmates." Another guy replies. "It was you?" I sigh and walk away. "Wait, don't leave." He came after me.

"I'm sorry this is staff only, please leave the kitchen." I asked. "Come on I'm your soulmate. The restaurant is pretty much closing." Doyoung walks up to us. "Who even are you?" He asks. "I'm Huang Renjun." He finally says. "Y/n you gotta choose. Him or me?" My eyes widened. How can I choose between the 2 people who're both my soulmates? "I can't. Not so quickly." I tell them. "We can give you some time to think." Renjun tells me. "Yes, and we'll wait until you decided." Doyoung says. "But I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings." I mumble. "Don't worry about it okay."

Scenario one:

After I exchanged numbers with Renjun that evening we've got to know each other better, this way I could make an easier choice. Or so I thought, it was still very difficult. If I choose one does it mean the other will forever stay alone? What if they also have a second soulmate and they find them? There were so many pro's and cons that decided on my decision. And that's what I'm doing now, telling my soulmate I chose for him. I call the number and not much later he picked up. "Hello?" I hear his voice. "Renjun, I made up my mind." I say. "Really? Let me guess you chose Doyoung?" He sounds sad. "No, you. I feel like we understand each other just that little better." I explained. "That's so amazing to hear! If we were together now I'd give you the biggest hug ever!" I giggle. "I'd hug you 10x more." I tell him. "I promise I won't ever let you down. That's why we're soulmates." He tells me with his calming voice. "You won't regret your decision."

Scenario two:

I didn't know what to say, I had multiple sleepless nights where I'd overthink. I was deep in my thoughts all the time. At work I'd try to act as normal as possible around Doyoung but it wasn't easy. It was as something was always calling for me to walk up to him and be with him like before we even met Renjun. We thought we were the only ones, destination for each other. Maybe this is my sign, I should go for Doyoung. But what would Renjun think? I shouldn't think about it now. First I got to tell Doyoung. I walk up to him after my shift. "What's up?" He asks. "I know it." I say. "Know what? I swear I didn't eat the leftovers. That was-" I cut Doyoung off mid sentence. "I want you to be my soulmate." I hug him. Doyoung didn't hesitate to hug me back. "Thank you." He whispers softly and gives a small peck on my forehead. "But can I still be friends with Renjun?" I ask. "Of course, don't worry about that okay."

Scenario three:

I couldn't choose. It's too difficult. Maybe I should do like Renjun's friend and decide to stay just friends with both of them. Or I could go for both of... but am I like that though? I'm not sure. "Y/n what's wrong?" Grandma noticed. "I have 2 soulmates but I don't know who to choose." I groan, I was frustrated that I couldn't make up my mind. "Oh sweetheart, you can't choose between your soulmates. They're both chosen for a reason. It's not a mistake or a choice, the gods decided you should have 2 and now you have to live with that." She explains. "So I gotta love both of them?" I ask. "It's not all about love, your soulmate is there to understand you and help you through your hardest periods and then again it's your turn to be there for them. I already explained that to you so many times." I nod in response. "Thank you Grandma." I got up and made a call with both of them, to explain how it'll work. "I'm glad you figured it out, I'll be there for you." And: "it's great to hear that you don't have to choose, I knew it was stressing you out." Were the comments I received together with some other inspirational words. They're both destined to be my soulmates and I'm for them.
