~ one week later ~

"Well, did you find out anything?" she tapped her fingers againts the side of her ashey throne.

A little shaken, Shatter looked up at her, as did all the guards and goblins behind him.

"We did what you said. We aren't causing anymore destruction to the country. The king and queen seem to be... happy" he explained "There wasn't much we could grab on"

"Happy.. " she chuckled a little "Oh they're so pure and clueless aren't they dear brother? They must think we've really dissapeared"

"I still don't understand how us pretending to have left them alone benefits us in any way. We're not progressing. That kingdom should be ours!" he protested at the end, eyebrows furrowed.

Snake rolled her eyes, getting up from her throne and walking over to him.

"It will be" she nodded confidently "The time off is needed so when we strike they don't expect it. We need them when the guards are all the way down. I'll be easier to take them on"

"Oh" he blinked "You're so intelligent"

"Of course I am you fool" she huffed "Now tell me... is he in love with her?"

"They seem pretty close" he nodded "I'm not sure though"

"Mhm.. we need to act soon then" she nodded, walking back to her throne "Let's shake things up a bit, yeah?"

Shatter smirked.

"Thank god we're done for today" Ross yawned, looking out of the carriage at the gloomy weather "I feel exhausted"

It was raining- the perfect weather for sleep, and the sound of the droplets against the glass window, as well as the horses hooves hitting the pavement brought him to an even more relaxed and lazy demeanor.

"Yeah.. it's crazy how much those ministers will put their foot down and contradict you. You're literally their king" Calum raised an eyebrow, laying his back more comfortably against the seat.

"That's what makes the best of decisions" Ross shrugged "I don't wan to talk about work though. Talk to me about something else so I don't fall asleep on our way to the castle. How's Celesta and Anna doing?"

"They're good" the ginger smiled at the mention of his wife and daughter "We just celebrated Toby's birthday yesterday"

"Who's Toby?" Ross raised an eyebrow.

"Her teddy bear. She's really close to him" Calum shrugged, making Ross laugh "She insisted we celebrated his birthday, and when we told her he didn't have one she decided that that day was his birthday. We bought a cake, we sung the song and Celesta made a special dinner and everything"

"Really?" Ross grinned "Ah, that's cute. I miss the little princess. Haven't seen her in a little"

"To be fair the dinner was more to celebrate mine and Celesta's anniversary, but don't tell her I told you that" Calum gave Ross a look.
