"I knew fishing would be boring, but not to this point" Gavin sighted out loud, keeping his eyes on the too calm of a lake in front of him.
"Maybe we should try changing location. We've been here for about an hour already and nothing's moved" Calum reasoned, looking back at Gavin.
They had actually picked a very nice place on the shore of the lake with the forest on the back to try and fish, and all three of their fishing rods were stuck under rocks to keep their arms from getting too tired from holding the rods the whole time.
They had three guards with them as well, but the three were staying a bit further from them, checking on the horses.
"Ross what do you think we should do?" Calum asked again, turning around to stare at his other best friend.
The blonde one of the group had his eyes closed, a hat on, one spike of grass in his mouth as he leaned into a tree, hands spread behind his head, seeming to be the most relaxed he'd ever been.
"Oh you have got to be kidding me" Gavin rolled his eyes as he stared at him too "That crooked-nosed knave has fully fallen asleep. This was his idea!"
"I'm awake you churl" Ross voice was heard, as he took the cap off his head, and raised an eyebrows at his boys "Can I help you ladies?"
"Listen here you-" Calum slapped a hand over Gavin's mouth, rolling his eyes "There's not one fish in this lake"
"Sure there is. I just saw one the other day" he weaved the two off, giving them a smile.
"Ross we've been here for an hour. We might as well catch something" Calum groaned, and then immediately took his hand off of Gavin's mouth when he tried to bite it, glaring at him.
Gavin smiled.
"Pals, you know the purpose of this fishing activity wasn't to actually catch fish right?" Ross raised an eyebrow "I'm pretty sure we've got any type of fish we could want in the castle. We're only here to take time off and relax"
"So you made us get on our horses, taking the fishing equipment, and ride all the way here only so you could fucking relax?" Gavin roared at him, glaring.
"Yeah" Ross shrugged.
Seeing as Gavin was about to attack, Calum stepped in, holding him back from absolutely praying Ross's face off.
"Let me go! I'll burn him at the stake!" Gavin called out.
"You can't burn your king" Ross smirked "And don't move a lot. The guards are looking"
At his words, Gavin turned his head, and sure enough Ross's guards were on their feet, staring at him carefully.
"Oh for the love of jesus" he rolled his eyes, removing himself from Calum's grip to walk over to his rod, staring at the water once again.
"You suck. Can't you just relax in your bed as every normal person does?" Calum huffed out.
"Of course he can't. The temptation of getting frisky with the queen would be almost too much to bare" Gavin put a hand over his heart.
