"Oh, you guys are back" Abigail announced as she entered Laura's bedroom, seeing her laying in her bed on her stomach, with Sofi sitting right in front of her who seemed to be more concentrated on her plush bunny.
"Yeah" Laura lightly smiled at the sight of her best friend.
"So" she continued speaking, going around the bed and then occupying what was left of it "How was your little walk?"
"Perfect" Laura murmured, turning to face her now "The sun was absolutely marvelous this morning. I felt so much more powerful and much better after, and it thankfully got Sof a little tired too because she was budging way too much a bit before"
"I was at the garden this morning. Definitely felt that sun. The flowers were gorgeous" she shrugged, laying her back by the headboard, and then looking at Sofi "She does seem a little loopy"
"Yeah" Laura chuckled "Nap time is nearing" she grinned at the little girl, then pulling on her small feet playfully so she was laying down.
She went on top of her, smacking kisses on her soft cheeks, and then kissing her lips all while she shook her head, giggling.
"My happy girl" she cooed, caressing her small face "My happy girl with ocean colored eyes"
Sofi just grinned up at her mom, reaching her little arms up to touch her face.
"God I love you so much" Laura smiled, laying her head at the side of her face, just at her shoulder as she felt her mess with her hair.
She layed there for a little while, just watching Sofi touch her hair and face as her wide eyes stared at her in wonder.
She was so affectionate. It made her soul happy. It was like this little girl was made for her.
When she noticed Abigail hadn't talked in a little while, she spoke up instead "Abbs? Did you fall asleep?"
She had layed her head in a position where she couldn't possibly see what her friend was doing. All there was in her view were brown hair and blue eyes.
"No, Laura, I didn't" she chuckled a bit.
Laura lifted her head up off of the bed, and then looked at her friend who was already staring at her "Then what's up?"
"Nothing. I'm just admiring you two. You're both so absolutely precious" she chuckled "It's making me want a daughter too not going to lie"
Laura had to laugh at that, and adjust herself on her elbows so she could look at her friend better "Really? You want kids?"
"Yeah, when it's time" she shrugged with a smile "Definitely not right now but I can see it happening. Then again if I keep staring at you and Sofi for a while longer I might just pop one out right now for the heck of it"
"Mhm, if it only worked that way" Laura hummed with a smile "Anyone caught your eye yet? I mean this kid's got to have a dad too"
"Nah" Abigail shook her head, rolling her eyes "No one that could be of my interest has approached me yet"
"And... Gavin" she whispered his name, pressing her lips.
"Who?" Abigail raised an eyebrow, not catching what she was saying the first time.
"Gavin" Laura repeated a bit louder.
She saw her ginger friend's eyes go wide at the mention, before she shook her head "What the hell? Not one single cell in my body doesn't think he's not the most annoying person on earth. He's the last person I'd set my eyes on that way"
