"I still don't understand why we have to travel to the sun kingdom. I should know this. I am king!" Ross called out, his eyes widen as he stared at his mother.

"Do you trust me?" Aden raised her eyebrows, looking up from all the packing she was doing.

"I mean of course I do" Ross blinked looking back at her "You are my mom"

"Exactly, and I would never take you anywhere dangerous now would I?" she raised her eyebrows.

"I guess" Ross scratched his head, still worried as hell.

"Then shut up and start getting ready. We have a long travel ahead" Aden weaved him off.

"Mother-"

"What" she groaned, interrupting his sentence.

Couldn't she just take him there without him asking a thousand questions for the reasons as to why?

I guess not. Sometimes she missed those times when he was just a kid and she could drag him along anywhere with no questions asked.

"Why are you doing this?" his eyebrows furrowed "What are we doing at the sun kingdom? Why do I have to be there? Is this about queen Laura again?"

"Why would you assume it's about her?" she raised her eyebrows "And I told you, we're holding a meeting with both the owr council and the sun council"

"Beacuse she's the only person we know from that kingdom" Ross gave her a 'duh' look.

"Well it could be about Elenor too" Aden shrugged.

"Is it?" Ross raised his eyebrows "Is she okay? What is this meeting about? Why didn't the council tell me?"

"Jesus Ross stop asking questions!" Aden sighted, now putting her clothing down and staring at him "I just need you to be cooperative this time. I know that being on a trip like this and having no clue why sounds crazy, but I'm just trying to save you the trouble for now. When we arrive, I will tell you and I'll answer every question you have my love"

"I don't know mom" Ross sighted "I don't know what you're planning"

"Nothing bad" she informed him "And something that will also benefit our country but will require you to do a simple sacrifice. This trip is important"

"Sacrifice?!" Ross's eyes widen.

Aden facepalmed, shaking her head.

This is what happens when she talks for way too long. She starts spilling.

"Again, nothing too bad" she repeated, now dropping her hand from her face "Please trust me with this. Be a good boy and go get ready. Please"

Ross looked down at his mother as she gave him a pleading look, and after a while of staring he nodded, making her smile.

"I really don't get this game" Laura sighed, looking down at the table.

"That's beacuse it takes being smart to get it" Freddie commented, making her jaw drop slightly.

"Excuse me?" she laughed out, hitting the side of his face with her hand fan.

"Ouch. Okay sorry. Shouldn't have said that your majesty, you are perfectly capable of understanding chess. Please don't fire me?" Freddie gave her a face, making her burst out laughing.

"You know too much about this kingdom and my life to be fired" Laura rolled her eyes after being done laughing.

Before he could reply he was called out by one of the other guards.
