"You're already in bed" Laura spoke as she opened the door to her bedroom, at the sight of her husband laying there.

It was a little unusual that he was the first one to be there. She'd always went to bed first.

"Yeah" he turned his head, giving her a lazy smile she could barely see in the dim light.

"Why aren't you asleep yet then?" she questioned, chuckling a little as she closed the door fully, approaching the bed.

"I was waiting for you" he murmured "How was the shower?"

"Lovely" she answered.

She didn't make a move to approach him further or go on her side of the bed, but simply stood at the foot of it, looking down at him.

He was one marvelous man. How could she have ever gotten this lucky?

"I've missed you" she suddenly murmured, climbing on the bed, but instead of going to her side she crawled slowly up until she was right on top of him.

He looked up, mesmerized at the soft curls that fell around her face, and reached out a hand to wrap around her waist, feeling the thin fabric of her nightgown.

He could easily rip it off if he wanted to, but he settled on fisting the fabric in his hand, therefore drawing her dress way up.

She gave him a little smirk, that said everything she wanted to say, before she leaned down, pressing her lips against his lightly.

So lightly it felt like a feather, like a dream.

She was teasing him.

But he wasn't going to play her game, as he grabbed her head with his other hand and pushed her down. Their lips fully pressing now.

She laughed against his lips. The sound making him smile as well immediately, as they kissed, missing every part of the process.

"I love you" she murmured, pulling away and looking down at him.

It was dark, yet somehow he could still look into her eyes.

And what he saw was love. It was  adoration, lust, want.

Somehow it still felt unreal to him. Somehow he still felt as if he was undeserving of the love of the most gorgeous, loveable woman he'd set his eyes on.

Those words. He'd been waiting to listen to them for a long time. He wondered what they would feel like, when it would happen, if it would ever even happen.

She'd been all of his thoughts, every single day. She was what he'd been secretly craving yet denying for so long.

Lost in his thoughts, he noticed her eyebrows furrow down at him.

He realized that the reason for that, was because he had yet to speak to her, say  anything.

He blinked, shaking his head a little as he looked up at her "Laura"

"Yeah, that's my name" she murmured "But do you love me? How long will you make me wait my king?"

"I have something to discuss" he spoke up instead "Something to clear up first"

"Speak" she ordered, fully sitting up on him now "Tell me what's keeping us apart now. If seems as it always is something"

"Your friend" he answered, furrowing his brows a little "Frederick"

When she smiled down at him at the mention, he got even more confused "I saw you find comfort in him after out fight"

She looked down at him, still smiling.
