"Ready?" Laura called our at the crowd as she smiled, only to get cheers as a response.

Ross quickly hurried to the other side of Sofi, and Laura gave him a glace before looking down at their sitting daughter, who had a three layered pink and purple cake right in front of her.

"One, two, three.
Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday dear princess Sofi
Happy birthday to you!" they all cheered as they finished the song, and Laura and Ross 'helped' Sofi blow her birthday candles.

Ross dipped a finger in the cake, wiping it off on her nose and mouth and making the toddler giggle, then try and reach the cake around her mouth and nose with her tongue so she could eat it.

Laura laughed, lifting her up from her the too-big-for-her chair and hopping her in her arms to hug her little girl.

She took her handkerchief and wiped her mouth and nose clean carefully, before grinning at her.

"Happy birthday my dearest. Mama loves you" she kissed her soft cheek, and then hugged her closer as Sofi's face layed on her neck.

"Wov mama"

Her smile immediately fell, and you could hear everyone immediately fall silent.

For a second, she thought it was the voice of some other child, but no, she wouldn't have heard it so clearly as if it was said in her ear.

All eyes stayed glued to Laura and Sofi, and Ross's mouth had fallen down a bit in shock.

Laura pulled her from her neck to look at her face, heart beating out of her chest as she stared at her daughter like she grew a couple of heads.

"H-honey" her voice stuttered a bit as she spoke up "Did you jus... Did you just speak?"

Sofi was blinking at her, as if having no clue as to what was going on.

"Ross you heard her right?" she immediately turned to her head to her husband, who only nodded- still shocked.

"So you spoke" she could almost feel the tears rushing to her eyes "Sofi you can speak!"

"Say it again. Please say it again" Ross practically begged, equally emotional.

"Papa" she pointed at Ross, giving them a clear smile as her cute voice was heard again.

She sounded like a small angel.

"Oh my god" Laura cried out, a hand in front of her mouth as Ross teared up as well.

He laughed, immediately wrapping the girls in his arms and squeezing them tight as he kissed the top of Sofi's head restlessly.

"We love you- we love you so much" Laura laughed, hugging her close as Sofi mirrored her mother's laugh.

The three stayed hugging like that for a couple of seconds, as tears of happiness rolled down Laura's eyes and Ross kissed her forehead.

No one dared to break the moment. Not one voice.

"You can fucking speak!" Ross suddenly screamed out, lifting the girl in his arms and throwing her in the air, grinning ear to ear as he heard her laughter.
