The Fellowship had made it to the mountain of Caradhras. But for their misfortune, the weather wasn't nice and sunny up there. The mountain was covered in thick deep snow. All, except Legolas and Nymerial, were struggling to get through it. The ones with Elf blood were walking next to the line, their walking was so light that the snow didn't collapse under them.

It was very cold, even Legolas was wrapped in his cloak,. even though he was immortal. But at the same time Nymerial had given her cloak to the smallest Hobbit, Frodo. She had never really felt truely cold, a bit chilly but freezing? Never. She looked at Legolas slightly and saw that his nose and cheeks were redder than the pettles of a poppy flower. 'He looks so cut...WAIT Nymerial, what are you thinking? He is your friend, nothing more. I do not like him like that! But maybe... NO. I have to stop. I do not lik...'

Her thoughts were interrupted by a scream from Frodo. He had lost his footing and was now falling. Luckily, he fell towards Aragorn and he caught him. Nymerial ran to her brother and the little Hobbit. She fixed the cloaks over Frodo so he couldn't get too cold. But she had some trouble because he was moving around, looking for the ring. Finding it missing, he looked back at where he fell. The ring was reflecting the light in the white snow. Boromir also saw it and went towards it, attempted to help Frodo. He picked up the ring by its chain and looked it sadly. Aragorn said to him, softly

"Boromir."

Nymerial also said, worried about her friend

"Please."

But it seemed that he hadn't heard them. Boromir was just watching it. He said gto himself, his voice was gentle but it had a sorrowful undertone

"It is a strange fate we should suffer so much fear and doubt...over so small a thing. Such as little thing."

He looked like he was in a trance as he lifted his gloved hand to tuch the most powerful ring. Nymerial reached down towards her daggers in her boots. But Aragorn yelled, trying to stop him

"Boromir!"

Boromir looked up to the trio, pulled fom his trance. Nymerial said to him

"Give the ring to Frodo."

He walked slowly down the slope to the two rangers and the Hobbit. He reached out his hand towards Frodo with the ring. He said

"As you wish..."

Frodo grabbed the ring as soon as it was an arm's length from him

"...I care not."

Boromir then ruffled the halfing's hair and climbed up to the others. Nymerial saw that Aragorn had his sword handle in his hand, ready to pull it out. She shook her head lightly to Aragorn and helped Frodo up to the rest of the Fellowship. Nymerial heard a strong wind blowing in the distance and she knew that soon they're in for a snow storm.
