The Fellowship was making their way through the blizzard on the mountain of Caradhras. Gandalf was in the front, trying to make a path in the snow with his staff. The two Men were helping the four little Hobbits. Nymerial and Legolas were walking near the edge of the cliff so if someone would fall, they could catch them. Nymerial thought 'If this storm would last more than a day, some of us wouldn't be here the next day.' she then heard a silent voice chanting. It looked that Legolas had heard it too because he ran forward and said

"There is a fell voice on the air!"

Nymerial looked back at Gandalf who was barely visible through the thick snow. She heard him say

"It is Saruman!"

Nymerial started to listen more carefully to the sound and she could make out

"Cuiva nwalca Carnirasse; nai yaraxea rasselya! (Wake up cruel Redhorn! May your horn be bloodstained!)"

Suddenly, a breaking sound echoed throughout the whole mountain. Nymerial looked up and saw small pieces of rock falling down. The Fellowship slammed themselves against the cliff wall as the horde of rocks fell past them. Aragorn yelled over the wind to Gandalf

"He is trying to bring down the mountain! Gandalf, we must turn back!"

Gandalf shouted back

"No!"

The wizard took a step forwards and started to chant. He was trying to silence the mountain

"Losto Caradhras, sedho, hodo, nuitho i'ruith! (Sleep, Caradhras, be still, lie still, hold your wrath!)"

But it didn't do any good. Saruman chanted again but this time with much more strength and power

"Cuiva nwalca Carnirasse; Nai yarvaxea rasselya; taltuva notto-carina! (Wake up cruel Redhorn! May your bloodstained horn fall upon enemy heads!)"

A lightning bolt struck the top of the mountain and started an avalanche of white snow and ice. Legolas pulled Gandalf back from the ledge because he would have fallen. The snow fell onto the Fellowship, burying them under it. Nymerial couldn't breathe as she was trying to make her way out of the snow. She managed to get one of her hands out but nothing more.

Her vision became more and more darker when suddenly she was blinded with light. Legolas had pulled her out and was now trying to get Nymerial back. She pulled her face away because Legolas was slightly slapping her onto the face. Nymerial looked into Legolas' deep grey eyes, getting lost in them. She pulled her eyes from his when she heard Boromir say

"We must get off the mountain! Make for the Gap of Rohan and take the west road to my city!"

But Aragorn argued

"The Gap of Rohan takes us too close to Isengard!"

Then Gimli suggested his idea that he was pushing onto Gandalf from the start

"If we cannot pass over the mountain, let us go under it. Let us go through the Mines of Moria."

Nymerial stood up from Legolas' arms when she saw a glimpse of fear and hopelessness in Gandalf's eyes. But she knew that they couldn't be on the mountain any longer. She shouted to Gandalf

"We cannot stay here! This will be the death of the Hobbits!"

Nymerial pointed to Pippin and Merry, their faces were almost as pale as the snow surrounding them. Gandalf wanted to argue but then came to a conclusion

"Let the Ring-bearer decide. Frodo?"

Frodo looked at the others and said

"We will go through the mines."
