We were met at the door of the dorm by a soldier who seemed to be much older than us, probably about 34. He was tall with an evidently muscular frame. His hair was also black, but it was lighter than Jungkook's, and was neatly swept to the side, away from his face. He was handsome. He had three stripes on his uniform, indicating that he was a sergeant.
"Welcome to dorm 19, I'm Jackson Wang. I am the sergeant in charge of bunk allocations as well as soldier well being in this dorm," he gave us a small bow, "I'm assuming you are both incoming privates by the looks on your faces?" he chuckled.
"Y-Yes sir, Jeon Jungkook sir," Jungkook offered his hand to Jackson who took it and gave it a firm shake.
"And you are?" Jackson asked, offering me his hand as well.
"Jung Elizabeth sir," I said as I took his hand and gave him a small bow.
"Follow me privates, I will show you to the rooms. Which groups are you in?," he stated as he led us up a staircase,
"Both of us are in group 4, sir," Jungkook said.
"Oh, perfect. There are 8 soldiers in a room, so you won't have much space to yourself."
Jungkook and I anxiously followed behind the strong man in front of us up the concrete staircase that stood in front of the main door. We were led down a few corridors until we came to a wooden door, the number four carved into the wood.
"This will be your room, you two complete the eight soldiers allocated to this room." he opened the door and we stepped in, six faces looking towards us in unison. I felt my cheeks becoming flushed at the sudden attention I was receiving. I couldn't help but notice that I was the only female in the room. This was going to be the longest week of my life.
"Alright everyone, get acquainted, you have a few hours before you need to head to the main hall." Jackson said as he made his departure, closing the door behind him.
I looked around the room, the beds were small, but seemed as if they may be comfortable. There were four beds placed along each wall on my left and right, with a path between them. The covers were gray and simple. One pillow sat on each bed and a trunk stood at the foot of each bed; presumably for our personal belongings.
"Hi everyone, I'm Jungkook," he said with a beaming grin, giving everyone in the room a wave. He looked over his shoulder to where I was standing behind him, trying to hide behind his broad frame. I took a step forward, now standing next to Jungkook.
"I'm Elizabeth, I'm 22," I smiled weakly, scanning over the faces of the men in the room as they watched my every move.
The man on the bed closest to us stood up and introduced himself as well as the other 5 men that sat in various positions on their beds, each of them giving a nod or a small wave in response to their name being called. I didn't take note of their names because it was highly unlikely that I would be spending much time with them during training.
I looked around and saw that the bed in the far right corner was vacant so I made my way towards it and dropped my bag on the bed. I felt a hand on my shoulder which caused me to recoil from the sudden contact.
"Hey, are you okay?" I was relieved when it was Jungkook, his big brown eyes looking into mine, concern written all over his face.
"Yeah, I'm fine, just a little tired. I didn't get much sleep last night," I mumbled as I unzipped my bag, giving him a lackluster smile. I was on edge, but I couldn't tell Jungkook that, he wouldn't understand that being the only female in a room with seven men made me feel sick.
I opened my trunk and started placing my clothes and toiletries inside. Trying to keep everything folded so it wouldn't crease. I tried to keep my underwear hidden underneath all of my clothes. I had no idea what these men would be like, so I didn't want to risk giving them something to look at, should they go looking for it.
