"Ready?" I asked Jungkook as I hung my laundry bag over my shoulder. He still seemed to be rummaging around the mess that he called his trunk. He picked up a few more things and stuffed them into his laundry bag before turning to face me.

"Ready," he said with a curt smile. We walked downstairs and followed the various signs that directed us to the dorm's laundry room.

It was a fairly small room. There were four washing machines against one wall and four dryers along the wall on the opposite side. I walked over to one of the washing machines and emptied my laundry bag into it. Luckily, there was no need to sort my clothes into lights and darks because everything was either black, or dark green. Jungkook did the same in the machine beside the one I was using. I tried to reach for the laundry powder on the shelf above the machines, but I was too short. I tried to jump for it, but still no luck.

Jungkook stood and smiled while watching my feeble attempt at trying to reach what I needed before he reached up and got it for me. I took it from him and smiled.

"Thanks, high shelves are my only weakness," I chuckled as I poured the powder in among my clothes in the machine, "Please may you get the fabric softener too?"I asked with my best puppy dog eyes. When he looked at me he burst out laughing.

"There is no need for aegyo Liz, I would do anything for you, you should know that by now," Jungkook chuckled as he reached up to the shelf once again.

His statement seemed to force the air out of my lungs. He would do anything for me? Why? I stood and stared at him, completely shell shocked. As he turned to pass me what I had asked for, his eyes grew wide as well.

"What? What's wrong?" he asked, seemingly concerned. I took the fabric softener from him and held it against my chest.

"What did you say?" I breathed.

"What? I would do anything for you?" he questioned. I nodded in response, unsure of what to say to his declaration. "Well, I would. I want to protect you, Liz. I want to make sure you're happy. Is there something wrong with that?" he chuckled nervously.

I took a second to process what the man standing in front of me had said.

"I, um, no, there isn't, I guess. I'm just a bit surprised, I think," I mumbled as I turned back to my washing machine to put the fabric softener in.

"I'm sorry, Liz. I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable, or step over a line," Jungkook said softly as he placed his hand on my shoulder.

I closed the machine and turned it on before jumping up to sit on top of it. Jungkook took the opportunity to stand in front of me, between my parted legs. He reached up and cupped my face in his hands, gently rubbing his thumb over my cheek bone.

"I'm sorry, sunshine," he whispered. I smiled at him before looking down at my lap. I had no idea why he had made me so uncomfortable. I felt as if he had started to feel something for me, which was what I had wanted to prevent from the beginning.

"Jungkook," I mumbled, he hummed in response, "What changed?"

"What do you mean?" Jungkook asked as his hand fell from my cheek.

"You're behaving, differently..." I trailed off, wondering if I had used the correct word.

"DIfferently? In what way?"

"You're being more possessive, and affectionate almost," I said as I dragged my gaze back to his. As soon as my eyes met his, I wished I had never looked up. His eyes seemed emptier, and anguished.

"Liz, I..." he trailed off as he took a step away from me, "I don't know how to say this," he started to rub the back of his neck nervously, and refused to look at me.
