"Well done everyone," sergeant Tuan said as he walked around the centre of the circle, "Next, we are going to play two truths and a lie. The name is fairly self explanatory. You will state two truthful facts about yourself and one that is a lie. Please keep the lies realistic; and keeping with the swing of things, Miss Jung will start us off."
I sighed as I heard I would be starting yet again, I shook my head slightly and stole a glance at Namjoon, who had an arrogant smirk plastered on his face. I took a moment to think of a snarky lie that I could tell to throw him off the little game he seemed to want to play.
"Before you start, Miss Jung, everyone sit where you are," Namjoon instructed, making us all sit on the floor of the dining hall, in a circle. "Proceed whenever you're ready Miss Jung," he said sternly once he was satisfied with our new arrangement.
"Okay," I sighed, trying my best to think of something clever to say, "I'm 22 years old, I've broken my left arm before and..." I hesitated for a moment, "I've slept with one person in this room," I said simply, causing Jungkook to stiffen beside me instantly. I glanced at the faces of the men seated on the floor with me, and it seemed as if everyone started laughing at the same time.
"That's obvious!" I heard someone say, "You obviously haven't slept with any of us, we all met today!"
His statement caused a murmur of agreement from the other soldiers and some nods of agreement.
"Final answer?" the sergeant questioned and everyone nodded in agreement, "Is that correct, Miss Jung?"
I chuckled softly before admitting, "I've never broken a bone."The room fell silent immediately, some of the soldiers had their mouths hanging open in shock before they started hooting and hollering like wild animals. I should have known that in a room full of men I would have received a response like that.
I looked over at Namjoon, his jaw was clenched and his eyes looked as if they were on fire. I smirked as he noticed me looking at him and I turned away, pretending that I didn't care. I had received the reaction out of him that I had wanted. He was at least a little bit flustered, and definitely a bit angry; just how he made me feel every time he spoke.
"Move on," Namjoon hissed, "Jeon you're next."
Jungkook cleared his throat before speaking, "I'm 22 years old as well, I live in Seoul and I wanted to be a professional gamer before I decided to enlist."
I smiled to myself, knowing which was the lie. The group discussed his statements, tearing each apart in ridiculously meticulous details before settling on the fact that he looked too young to be 22.
"I'm 19," Jungkook laughed, admitting defeat once everyone had decided on their answer.
We went around the circle and everyone had their turn. I listened to each person intently in an attempt to learn about them, knowing we would be spending a lot of time together. I smiled when it was JB's turn.
"My nickname is JB which stands for Jaebeom, I auditioned for an entertainment company before I enlisted and I live with my father," he said with a smile.
My mouth fell open at his statement, I couldn't believe that he auditioned for an entertainment company. He didn't seem like the type to be an idol, he was too stern and serious; however, his movements were fluid enough for him to be capable of dancing, I noticed it when he ran.
Everyone in the group laughed and decided that his auditioning was a lie, only to be floored when he revealed that his dad had died when he was a child.
"Interesting bunch this year," Min Yoongi chuckled from beside Namjoon.
"Too interesting," Namjoon mumbled from beside him, but it was loud enough for me to hear.
