Jungkook rested his hand at the base of my spine and brought his head to be level with mine.
"Hey, are you okay? What happened? Do you feel sick?" I could hear the worry in his voice. He was so caring towards someone whom he had just met.
"Oh, I definitely feel sick," I mumbled into my hands.
"Do you need to go outside?" He asked, as I brought my head out of my hands. He started searching for a superior to ask if we could be excused.
"No no no, don't do that. I don't need to leave. I think I'm just in a little shock," I smiled at him, wanting to show him that I was okay, at least I thought I was.
"Are you sure? I don't mind asking."
"Yes Kook, I'm sure, thank you," I rested my head on his shoulder and focused my attention back to the stage, where lieutenants were still being introduced.
My mind was a whirlwind of emotions. I was just drooling over to the lieutenant of my dream platoon. I had to separate my emotions from the task at hand. No matter what he looked like, I had to make sure he was impressed when he saw me training. That was more important than any carnal attraction.
"Alright privates, now that you have met your superiors, it is time to get your day started. Please may you all make your way back to your dorms where you will be met by your sargeants for orientation. I hope you enjoy your time here, best of luck to you all!" And with that, warrant officer Lee walked off the stage. Everyone in the hall started shuffling around, making their way out of the various doors on the sides of the hall.
"Do you want to wait for it to calm down before trying to leave?" Jungkook asked as he scanned the various doors to see mounds of people trying to get out at once.
"Yeah, sure, sounds good," I said, not really paying much attention to the people around me. I had been completely lost in my thoughts, trying to figure out the best way to handle the situation at hand. I was staring blankly at the, now empty, stage in front of me. My eyes were pinned on the seat Kim Namjoon had vacated. I shook my head to try and clear the fog that had begun to plague my mind. I needed to be focused, I had a lot of work to do in a very short amount of time.
I stood up, causing Jungkook to do the same and we slowly made our way to the back door once most of the soldiers had filed out.
"Are you feeling a little better?" Jungkook asked as he linked his arm with mine while we walked.
"Um, a little I guess. I'm sorry if I worried you earlier, I didn't mean to." I looked up at him, his cocoa colored, doe eyes met mine. They were probably the biggest eyes I had seen on someone. They were beautiful up close.
"Why were you so shocked anyway? Too many hot guys?" He chuckled as we followed the path back to our dorm.
"It's a really long story, I'll tell you tonight, okay?"
"Sure Liz," he sent me a wink.
The remainder of our walk was quiet, but it wasn't uncomfortable. It felt like I had known Jungkook all my life. No words had to be said. We were both more than happy enough to just walk with each other in silence.
"Head up to your room privates, your room sergeant will meet you there," Jackson said as we approached the main entrance to the dorm. I gave him a smile and a nod in response. Jungkook and I made our way up the stairs and down the hallway into our room. Everyone was already inside by the looks of it.
"Good evening, I'm glad you could join us," a man that was standing on the other side of the room said. His comment was laced with sarcasm, "Now that the lovebirds have arrived, we can begin." I didn't warrant his comment with a response, it would be a waste of my breath. The rest of the men in the room chuckled at his comment. Jungkook and I walked towards our beds and sat on our trunks just like everyone else had. "My name is Jungho, I am the sergeant in charge of the people in this room. You will not eat, sleep or breath without my permission. Understood?" he was pacing up and down the aisle between the beds while he spoke, "I said, is that understood?" his voice was raised, almost shouting at all of us.
