Watcher Grian

Just a bunch of Headcannones and a sweet moment for Watcher!grian

Headcannones;

-He's paranoid, and if he hears anyone referring to him as 'diamond', he'll freak out.

-being called diamond is a compliment in the MCYT universe, and Grian is like freaking out everytime people compliment him like that.

-Xisuma once called him diamond and that's how the hermitcraft admin found out he was harboring a previous watcher

-Grian is under constant surveillance from the Admin government, and can be called in at any notice.

-thats how Mumbo and Iskall found out^

-his wings need grooming once a week at least.

-he keeps flying into trees and constantly has to pick twigs and leaves out of his wings.

-he's only been successful at cleaning his wings by himself once.

-always has to ask for Xisuma to clean his wings for him, or help him at least.

-is terrified of anything relating to watchers

-the first time bdubs saw Grian in his watcher firm, he asked Grian if he could fly all the way up to the top of the mayor's building

-Mumbo argued Grian's wings were cheating until Grian gave him a curse of binding elytra and he never bought it up again.

-Grian is very self-conscious of his wings and halo.

Moment One;

Grian paced forwards and backwards, wings flapping in annoyance.

Goddamn it, he couldn't groom his wings without help.

His communicator lights up.

Xisuma End Void

Xisuma's name flickers on the screen, a small pocket of light lightening the dark room.

Would Xisuma mind if...?

Grian stared at the screen, weighing the pro's and cons of his actions.

Finally, Grian reached down and picked up the communicator.

Grian; Would you help me with something?

Xisuma is typing...

Xisuma; what do you need?

Xisuma heard the taps of the raindrops on the background.

He had no experience with cleaning wings, but he could get least try.

His shoes clacked on the wood of Grian's base. He had to learn the hard way not to sneak up on Grian when he wasn't expecting to be disturbed.

"Hey, G?" Xisuma asked softly.

"Xisuma?" Grian said, swivelling around to face the admin.

"Yeah. You needed help?"

The rain continued to pour outside, and the sun still kept setting.

"I, I mean uh, I do, yeah." He whispered meekly.

"Wings?" Xisuma prompted.

Grian wings spread out, and that's when Xisuma realized why he needed help.

He had a ten-foot wingspan, shades upon shades of purple feathers lining the wings, fluttering at even the slightest blow of wind.

"I'm sorry if it's to much." Grian murmured. He'd always been self-conscious about his wings and halo.

"No, no it's alright." Xisuma smiled. He would help his friend, no matter how many hours he'd have to stay here getting it right.

"...thanks."

The rain had become louder in the comfortable silence that had fallen over the two.

They worked in surprising harmony. Xisuma quickly caught on, and found the cleaning not tedious as he'd previously thought, but relaxing.

Xisuma found leaves and twigs, quickly picking them out and disposing them.

Occasionally, he'd hit a feather, or pull at the wrong thing, and the wing would wince or jerk. But it was okay.

He'd been hit with large cushion-y objects before.

Mainly pillows, but it still counted.

"Thank you, X." Grian whispered, breaking the silence.

"Well of course." Xisuma smiled. "Who else would you have turned to?"

A silence came over the two again, and they continued working.

Some conversations didn't need to be said.

I just needed some nice, platonic Grian Xisuma bonding content okay???

I'd really appreciate your input on the new writing style of the moment, by the way!
