Detective Case #7

Requested by the wonderful _Mulu_, lovely request!

They requested detective Grian w/ Dream and Techno instead, but THEN they said it could be then being a detective trio and I just couldn't resist-

Also take note that this is an AU and doesn't entirely line up with they're personalities so sorry 'bout that.

Grian Xelqua Diamond was the head detective of G.M.B, the highest ranked private detective service in the entire Hub world. He found clues, got info about the suspects, and usually managed to rule out around 9/10 of the suspect pool.

His partner, Dream Mask, was head of clue examination. He had majored in PvP, but then found out he had a natural talent for cross-examination and everything related to clues. Fro. Finger prints to blood stains to fake IDs, Dream knew it all.

His other partner, Techno 'The Blade' Blood, was their hunter. He would get the profile of the person and hunt them down. This usually took months, years even, but the longest it had ever took Techno was eight weeks and two days.

They also all happened to he dating.

Which is what managed to get them the name 'E.A.D', or the Emotional Attachment Detective's.

They where widely known and often hired as a team in the sidelines incase anything went wrong at political parties, events, speeches, etc.

Not this time, however.

Grian stepped out of the portal, Dream and Techno following close behind.

"You must be GMB." There client, Conicus, said.

"We are." Grian answered. "This is a murder case, correct?"

"Yes, it is." Conicus nodded. "The body was found at about 2am."

"Thank you, sir." Dream nodded.

The trio went to look inside the house where the body still was.

"Bread? What ya got for us?" Techno prompted.

"Hmmmm." Grian hummed in response. "Let me just..."

Grian was in full detective mode. He crouched down, examining the body. A stab wound.

"Dream, think you could get finger prints near the scene? Boot prints, anything at all?" Grian almost whispered. Without a word, Dream nodded and crouched down next to Grian, getting to work.

The victim was obviously stabbed from above, he realized. There was small chance he would've left fingerprints.

"Wait, Dream, nope." Grian stopped him. Dream looked up. "There'll be no fingerprints there."

Dream quickly stood up and backed away.

"Quick, footprints. Anywhere around the body!?" Grian asked.

"Score." Dream whispered, spotting slightly muddy and dirty splotches on the ground.

"Can you get anything from it?" Grian asked.

"Probably not, but he's a size 16." Dream answered.

"Thanks." Grian said, kneeling down next to the body. "Sir, uh, Conicus, was the body stiff when you found it?"

"U- uh, no. No." Conicus muttered.

"Okay, thank you." Grian nodded. "He was probably within a ten to twenty minute time-frame of the murder."
