This is what I'm gonna call this the mystique's & magic AU, because why the hell not?

Techno and Dream where fighting. Again.

"I'm obviously stronger!" Dream defended.

"Nonsense, you can't lift a finger to what I do!"

Dream was a mage, while Techno a Scientist. They where constantly arguing what was stronger, magic or science?

Grian, on the other hand, was a graduate in biology as well as being a powerful mage. Both facts where unknown by his significant others, and he refused to interrupt they're bickering.

Dream and Techno were strolling through a particularly dark patch of forest late at night.

When I say strolling, I mean arguing.

"It's so obvious Techno! I can fight with powers! I can make things float and explode!" Dream aimed at his boyfriend.

"Every once in a while. Science can make long lasting bombs and chemical damage." Techno retorted. "It's just stronger."

"Nu-uh!"

"Oh, so you've preformed a reversing age spell?"

"No, but I could!"

The air was cold as the wind billowed, blowing south. The two continued to argue, unaware that Techno only had enough energy for two spells and a cantrip*.

The trees and bushes rustled slightly, the pair did not notice. Even if they did, it was just the wind anyway.

Technoblade was slammed into the nearest tree.

"WOAH-" Dream shouted. "Ray if frost, freeze the men, help them still, now and then!"

One man (or woman) froze, still leaving seven attackers.

"U- uh, fire rage, big and strong, take the men, burn them long?" He stumbled out.

Two men (or women) burst into flames.
Five men (or women). They would easily outnumber him, and Techno didn't stand a chance.

"Fuck." He heard Techno behind him.

"Yeah, fuck." Dream agreed, holding his quarterstaff in his hands.

Something wasn't right.

Grian could feel it in the air. Dream and Techno should've been back by now. They where just doing a little patrol.

So Grian used the all seeing eye spell. Advanced, but simple once you got the hang of it.

"Let me see my targets true, all enemies and their plateau." He murmured.

A glowing ord appeared infront of him, slowly clearing to see the image of Techno and Dream cowering bellow the eyes of five men (or women), probably robbers.

Well, he couldn't stand for this.

Techno.and Dream were in deep shit.

Cornered and defenceless, they couldn't fight of five of them.

Then Grian came to the rescue. He just wasn't there and the next second he was.

The five men (or women) shouted out in surprise.

Grian shouted something, a spell, but Techno could only hear certain words or phrases.

"Enemies, troublesome, away, don't, them."

Or something like that.

Dreams eyes widened as all five of them men (or women) slammed into the building behind them, knocking them all unconscious.

"Your both idiots, getting jumped on." Grian said, shaking his head.

"How did you-"

"I'm a level 25 mage."

They simply blinked at him.

"Sorry, didn't I tell you?" Grian winked.

And from then on, whenever they fought they'd both be overshadowed by they're boyfriends brilliant achievements.

Yes this is based of DnD.

*Cantrips, smaller spells like light orbs or gusts of wind.
