Louis' POV
The day passed faster than Louis wanted it to. At the same time it felt like the longest day he'd ever had. He couldn't stop himself from looking at Harry during the whole flight. The man was busy with his leathern notebook the whole time. Louis knew that he always wrote songs down there and he desperately wanted to know what he had written. But it wasn't his business - as Harry wasn't anymore. Nevertheless he kept looking at the man the whole flight, hiding his stare behind sunglasses.
When they landed in Adelaide about two hours later, Paul drove them to their hotel. Louis kept hiding his face with the sunglasses and his hood. On the one hand he was still curious how Simon wanted to explain his face to the fans. On the other he didn't care at all. It was indifferent to him.
Laying in the bed of his hotel room, he tried to sleep. He took two of the sleeping pills he never used and watched TV. A documentary about a forest somewhere. It calmed him down. He didn't listen, he just kept watching with his head resting on the pillow. His eyes were focused on the screen of the television and Louis felt how he got tired a little bit more every moment. Looking at the green trees and little paths leading through the forest made him think of Harry. The dark green reminded him of the man's eyes. The forest was as calm, as peaceful as Harry was. But there was nothing mysterious about him to Louis. Harry was warmhearted, loving and caring. Louis had always known that he didn't deserve him. He was the opposite of Harry, at least he thought he was. The curlyhead had made him a better person, he had trusted him. And Louis had broken his promise as it would have been nothing again.
He stared at the sun rays shining through the leaves and began to wonder what would have been if Simon wasn't there. If they weren't famous. If he hadn't to worry about someone getting hurt because of him. He knew that this would never happen. But he couldn't help but imagine a world where their relationship was normal. Louis remember the days in Princess Park. The days in which they just could be themselves. At least behind closed doors.
Flashback
A grin made its way on his face as he watched his boyfriend laying on the couch watching TV. As quiet as possible he made his way towards the back of couch. Letting out a scream "Under attaaaack", he threw himself on the man who flinched and looked at him in shock.
"Ouch, Louuuu" He cried out but Louis started to tickle him mercilessly and Harry started laughing loudly.
"Ple-Please sto-o-oppp, please-please" The man laughed and Louis grinned even more.
"I don't know why I should"
"Please-" He giggled as Louis didn't stop. "What- what do you want?" The man cried tears of laughter.
"Well, I don't know" Louis smirked and kissed the spot on Harry's neck that always made him giggle.
"Louuuuu, stop it. Now!" Harry laughed and Louis bend over him. He stopped for a moment.
"Maybe a kiss would stop me"
Not even a second later Harry put his lips on Louis'. With a grin on his face he kissed him back and laid down next to him. He placed his head on Harry's chest and looked at the TV.
"'Friends', again?" He sighed in amusement.
"I can pause it if you want to, darling"
"Oh shut it, curly. I'm just going to watch you. You're more entertaining" He tilted his head and looked at his boyfriend who rolled his eyes. "Oh please"
"I love you so so much, I hope you know that" Louis kissed his cheek and smiled at him.
"I know that, baby"
He continued watching the curlyhead and brushed through his hair. "You know the whole world wants you and you're here with me"
Harry giggled. "Since when are you that romantic?"
"I don't know. It's disgusting, isn't it?" He grinned at him and kissed his cheek again while Harry laughed.
"I could get used to it"
"Don't do that. You'll be disappointed"
He laughed again and Harry shook his head. "You can't disappoint me, babe. Because if you do, I'll just leave and date one of those super hot models"
"You take that back right now Styles!" Louis punched him and Harry burst out into laughter.End of Flashback
