Harry's POV
When they got on the plane on 8th December, hell broke loose. Neither Harry nor Louis had turned on their phones yet. They had wanted to focus on the people around them. Harry had wanted to be there for Louis, had not wanted to be distracted by the device. Louis hadn't even cared about it.
Now as they sat on the plane again making their way back to the other boys in Melbourne, they sat next to each other and Louis took out his phone. Harry looked at him, having his head resting against the seat. He watched the man turning on his phone."Don't do that" He whispered leading to Louis looking at him in question. "It will end the time on our own together.."
Louis smiled softly and placed a kiss on Harry's lips. "We'll have plenty of that, babe"
Harry grinned, leaned back and closed his eyes. He was happy. Finally Louis and he had a chance. A real chance."Fuck" All of a sudden, reality hit them when Louis had turned on his phone.
"Harry, Simon has called 14 times. Liam called 4 times.."
Harry opened his eyes, being looked at worriedly by his boyfriend. He took out his own phone and turned it on as well.
"It will be fine, don't worry" He gave Louis a soft smile and patted his thigh. It had to be fine. When he looked back on his phone, he had even more calls by Simon and Liam than Louis. Notifications popped up on his screen and he looked at it. Pictures of Louis and him were trending on social networks. They had visited Jay's grave yesterday accompanied by a Security guard. The pictures showed them several times on the graveyard hugging each other and Harry patting Louis' back.
Harry got angry. Why would people make pictures of someone on a graveyard? Didn't they have any boundaries? He sighed and looked at Louis who met his eyes.
"We'll solve this as soon as we're back in Australia, ok? We can't do anything here now anyways" Louis nodded and gave him a half-hearted smile.
"Are you scared of Simon's reaction?" Harry asked him carefully. Slowly, Louis shook his head. "We didn't do anything bad. We're just friends to the public. We didn't break any rules. Just friends"Ouch. Harry's heart ached. There it was again, the unsettled topic. Just friends. He knew that Louis didn't mean it that way. He knew what he meant. But the fact that they still had to hide made him feel sick.
He simply nodded and looked out of the window. After a short time, Louis started talking. "Haz.. That's not what I meant.."
Harry nodded again, still not looking at him. "I know, it's alright"
Louis sighed and leaned his head on Harry's shoulder. Without a word the curlyhead leaned his head on Louis' head. They sat in silence.
Both of them didn't fight. They nearly never did. There was nothing to fight about, nothing that could be solved. Just a situation they couldn't change."Are you angry..?" Louis whispered carefully causing Harry to roll his eyes.
"No, Lou. I'm not. It's just- It hurts.."
"I'm sorry, boo.. I don't want to hurt you.." He whispered, placing a kiss on Harry's shoulder.
Harry ran his fingers through Louis' hair. "It's alright, Lou.. You're here, with me. And that's the only thing that counts"
"And I'll stay as long as you want me to"
A little smile made its way on Harry's face as he whispered "That will be forever".As they got off the plane in Melbourne, the airport was filled with fans. Again, Harry was amazed of how they always found out where they where. Louis and him were guarded by Security guards as they made their way to the car that would get them to the hotel.
Harry didn't let anyone hold him back from taking time to make pictures with fans and Louis followed behind. They signed stuff and made pictures, talked to fans, listened to their stories and answered most of their questions. When it came to questions about the two of them, they both avoided answering. As they left the airport and finally got in the car, two hours had passed. Harry looked at Louis who was busy with his phone. The blue eyes wandered worriedly over the screen.
"What's wrong?"
Louis looked at him and bit his lip.
"Simon called again. Three times."
Harry took his hand and squeezed it. "It'll be alright. We'll call him as soon as we're at the hotel. Don't worry"
Louis nodded and exhaled heavily. He put his phone away and looked out of the window.
"It will be fine" Harry repeated not knowing whether he was talking to Louis or himself. The drive to their hotel wasn't long. They parked in the street behind and entered the hotel through the backdoor to escape the press that had gathered in front of the main entrance.
Liam awaited them in the hallway, hugging both of them. "Paul told me you'd arrive any minute so I waited" He gave them a smile and patted Louis' back before looking at him worriedly. Too many worried looks today, Harry thought, worrying what was wrong himself.
"Are you alright, mate?"
Louis nodded and smiled at Liam. "Thanks lad. Everything's alright. I'm damn hungry man"
Liam laughed. "Food's ready in an hour. Niall can't wait as well"
Harry smiled "Where's the Irish goblin?"
Suddenly, Liam's smile faded.
"He went shopping with Zayn. You should hurry and go to your room, guys"
He frowned. "What's wrong, Li?"
The brown-eyed man sighed. "Simon is waiting for you"
Harry could see the fear in Louis' face the moment the words had come out of Liam's mouth. There must be something about Simon that scared him more than he would tell.
"He's here? But why-?"
"I don't know. But you should hurry. He waited for over four hours now"
Harry and Louis looked at each other. They didn't know what exactly to expect. They only were sure that it wasn't something good.
