Louis' POV

Their show in Brisbane had been on the fifth. They had five days off now and had planned on staying in Australia.
On the 11th and 12th of December would be the shows in Melbourne followed by the one in Adelaide on the 14th and the last show of the year in Perth on the 16th.
Afterwards they would be at home for Christmas and New Year's Eve. Their tour would continue in January.

Louis was looking forward to their break. He loved being back on stage but he wanted to be home. He desperately missed his mother, not even being at her grave tomorrow made him feel worse. He missed his sisters as well. He couldn't wait to be back with them.

For today he just wanted to stay in bed. And for tomorrow. He just didn't want to talk to anybody - except for Harry. After the show they had gone straight to bed and Louis was thankful for Harry's understanding.

When he had woken up, Harry was already up again and Louis assumed that it would be late again but this time he simply didn't care.
Suddenly the curtains moved and Harry looked at him. Louis noticed that the sun was only just rising. It couldn't be later than 6 AM.
"Lou, are you awake?" Harry whispered.
Louis nodded, not sure whether Harry would see that in the next moment.
"C'mon get up, we have to go"
He looked at him, irritated. "Where?"
"Airport, c'mon. Stand up. Don't wake the others"

Harry left and didn't say any more. He couldn't hear Louis whispering "we're leaving without them?" and didn't answer.
Louis got up quickly and put on his clothes, following Harry who was carrying two bags to a Van.

"Harry..? Where are we going? Why don't we wake up the others?"
"They won't come with us. We'll fly back to London, Lou. Only for two days but.. I thought you would want that" Harry looked at him waiting for a reaction.
"Wh- What? We're going home?"
Harry nodded. "Only if you want of course- I thought you wanted to be there tomorrow and I couldn't let you go on your own.. But if you don't want-"
Louis interrupted him. "I want, Harry..- I'd love to.. But what about the others? Do they know? What about Simon-?"
"Liam knows. He helped me planning that yesterday when you were sleeping. He'll take care of everything- Lou, we really have to go now.."

Louis couldn't hold back from hugging Harry as much as he could. He whispered against his neck "Thank you Hazza.."
He would be there tomorrow. He really would be there.

They were driven to the airport by Paul who had helped Harry too, apparently. Louis expected them to go on a regular plane but Paul parked directly on the flying field. Louis didn't get to ask any questions. They left the Van and Harry took the bags - he had packed a few things for both of them.

Paul accompanied them to a private jet and stopped in front of the stairs where the crew was waiting.
"And you're sure you want to fly back without me? I can fly with you"
Harry shook his head. "No. It's your job to be here and look after the others. We'll be fine. I promise. You've planned our security service at the airport in London, everything will be alright" Louis agreed and Paul sighed.
"Fine. Please call when you arrive and- look after each other"
"It's not our first flight on our own, Paul. We're not children anymore-"
Paul gave him a look and Harry shut up while Louis had to grin. He knew exactly what Paul was saying. They had behaved like children on their flight to Australia a week ago and he had loved it.

They were welcomed on the jet and sat down. Soon they took off and Louis looked at Harry who was looking at the clouds outside.
"Hazza?" He asked carefully and the green eyes looked at him.
"Yeah?"
"Thank you. I- This means so much to me.."
Harry gave him a smile that warmed Louis' heart.
"I thought you would want to be there so.."
Louis nodded. "Yeah- I can't thank you enough Haz.. You didn't need to come with me, you know. There will be a lot of crying-Louis these next days..-"
Harry gave him a warning look. "I would never let you go there on your own. I'm there for you. Always"

Louis smiled and whispered "Thank you" as he leaned his head against the window. Harry was sitting opposite of him and looked back out of the window. He had a smile on his face and Louis couldn't stop watching him. Harry just didn't stop smiling and he wondered what he was smiling about.
"What are you smiling about?" He finally asked and Harry looked back at him.
"Oh sorry- I didn't want to smile that way- It has nothing to do with tomorrow, I'm sorry-" Louis noticed how cute he was as he tried to explain that he wasn't smiling with bad intentions.

"Haz. It's okay. Don't apologize for smiling. Your smile makes me feel better. I just was wondering why you smiled.."
Harry's smile grew wider and Louis noticed that he blushed. "You-.." He scratched his nose and his cheeks turned a light pink colour.
"I?" Louis asked wondering.
"You called me Hazza again" He hid his face behind his hand and Louis smiled. He couldn't hold back, suddenly looked at Harry and said "I love you"

The green eyes looked back at him in shock. Both of them didn't expect him saying that. This time it was Louis blushing.
"I'm sorry.. That was way too early, I shouldn't have-" Harry didn't let him finish. "I love you too"

They looked at each other and smiled. Finally Louis leaned forward, laid his hand on Harry's cheeks and looked him in the eyes waiting for his reaction. Without wanting it, his eyes looked at Harry's lips and back at his eyes. He was scared, expected the curlyhead to break off the moment.

But he didn't. Instead, Harry moved his head a few centimetres forward and placed his lips on Louis'.
It was like a firework exploded inside of him. Louis felt Harry's soft lips on his own as he kissed him back, his hand placed in his curly hair. His lips tasted like vanilla. They always had and Louis loved it. He couldn't let go of Harry, who seemed to feel the same way. Their lips only parted when they needed to breath but as soon as they had inhaled one of them placed his lips back on the other one's. Louis felt like an addict and Harry was his drug. He was the only drug Louis would ever need.
