Louis' POV

"Breaking News! The American leg of One Direction's reunion tour will be postponed for at least four weeks! Due to illness within the management team, they don't want to risk more members getting ill. It's unclear whether one of the five band members caught the virus as well. Last week the band caused a huge wave of happiness by their members Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles coming out as a couple. Here's what happened-"
"Guys did you get the news-" Niall walked into the room and stopped talking as soon as he heard the TV. "Can they do that?"
"Apparently they can" Zayn shrugged and Louis scratched his neck.

"So what do we do? Just go back to the UK? Or stay? I have no idea" Harry asked, looking at the three of them who were sitting on the floor in Liam's suite.
"We call them again" Liam shrugged and took out his phone before he dialed the number again. This time it didn't take long until someone picked up.
"Modest! Management London. You're speaking with Alena, how can I help you?"
"Hello Alena. It's Liam Payne speaking. I was wondering if you could put someone on the phone who can talk to me about our current situation"
"Oh- Mr. Payne. I'm afraid I can't-" She started stuttering and Louis rolled his eyes while Harry took the phone.
"Alena, darling. This is Harry. I know you're just doing your job but it's really hard for us at the moment. And we would really hate to talk to the media-"
"Just give me the goddamn phone, Alena" Simon's voice stopped Harry who smiled in triumph.

"Harry, I think I made it pretty clear that I won't talk to you for now" Simon snapped, making Louis roll his eyes again.
"You didn't say anything about that, Simon. What is going on?" Liam replied, making Simon sigh.
"The tour is postponed for now until we decide further. I'm so done with your shit. I'll call you as soon as we know how we'll deal with this whole situation" The man stated.
"Come on, Simon. What about the fans?" Zayn exclaimed.
"You should've thought about them a little earlier. We've always protected you, made you look lovable and funny. And you went behind our backs like that. Now suffer the consequences" With that Simon ended the call.
"Bastard" Niall mumbled under his breath.

"I guess that's all we get for now" Liam put the phone in his pocket.
"What do we do now?" Louis looked at Harry who sat down next to him.
"We just enjoy our time off. What do you guys think about having dinner? In the restaurant downstairs? Just the five of us, relaxed. No management, no one else. We haven't had that in ages" Niall looked at them and the idea seemed like heaven to Louis. He missed being relaxed around the boys, missed hanging out with them without having to leave early because there was an appointment the next day. Just being able to enjoy themselves without being locked in a room.
"Absolutely" Zayn grinned. "The first drink is on me"

Louis chuckled as he watched his boyfriend laugh. "You did what?"
"I called her and told her that I wanted to speak with Khai. And then told her that she won't ever be allowed to date any men. Gigi said I talked to her for about 30 minutes" Zayn shrugged with a smile on his face.
"You're unbelievable" Niall joined Harry and shook his head.
"The boys are going to chase that poor girl like crazy"
"Don't remind me. I get sick every time I think about the fact that she'll grow up and marry someday" Zayn confessed and Louis patted his back.
"You're getting old"
"You know that your the oldest" Zayn gave him a look.
"Physically he is. Mentally? I doubt it" Harry giggled and looked at Louis with a smug grin on his face.
"Harold!" Louis exclaimed. "You're my boyfriend!"
"When are you going go make that husband, Lou?" Niall grinned.

"Me? Why should I do that?" He frowned and looked at the blonde.
"Because I sure as hell won't ask" Harry took a sip of his drink and leaned back.
"After everything you owe him that, Lou" Zayn shrugged and Louis sighed.
"Can we come back and slow down a bit? We just came out" Harry chuckled and Niall giggled.
"Well if it was up to me, you two would have at least ten kids by now"
Louis shook his head and looked at Liam who had been very quiet all evening long.

"You ok Li?"
"Yeah, yeah. It's fine" He mumbled and Louis frowned. His eyes met Harry's, the man as irritated as Louis was.
"What's wrong Liam?" Even Niall looked at the man now.
"Please, just- let's talk about something else"
"Liam. Talk" Zayn exclaimed and Liam finally looked at them.
"I broke up with Maya yesterday. Over the phone"
"You did what?"
"What the fuck happened?!"
"Liam!"
"Just stop it, ok? It was my decision and it's for the best" The man sighed and Louis shook his head in disbelief.
"He's fucked in the head. I can't explain it otherwise"

"I know that she's the best thing that's ever happened to me, ok? I know that. But it's for her sake and- it's for the best" Liam mumbled and Louis couldn't explain what he meant.
"Liam Payne. If you don't explain yourself within less than a minute, I'll kick your ass" Niall exclaimed. "And I'm good at it by now"
Louis couldn't help himself and chuckled. "He's right man. Talk"
"She deserves better. She deserves the world and I can't give it to her. There won't be peace with me. Maybe a sunny day but there's always a rainy cloud above my head. I can't- I can't force that upon her. She's better on without me" Liam bit his bottom lip and Louis noticed the shimmer in his eyes, the pain in his voice.
"You're wrong, Li" Niall disagreed but Liam glared at him. "I'm wrong? Tell me, Niall. What happened in the last few days? The world broke down on us. And it's that way since I can remember. Since we're in this band- even when we were on hiatus. There's no peace. There will never be peace in our lives"

If there was one person in the world that deserved happiness, it would be Liam in Louis' eyes. "Let me tell you something. When it comes to breaking-up with someone for dumb reasons, I'm the king ok? I've done it. And I wish every day that I didn't. Because it wasn't for his sake. It was for my mind to make myself believe that I did the right thing when it was in fact the worst thing I could do. When you love someone, you don't let them go unless they want to. So it's not insensitive when I say get your shit together, Liam. If it was the best for Maya to be without you, she would say that"
Liam looked at him, nothing more to say.

"Well as the one he broke up with several times-" Harry started and Louis looked at him.
"Did you have to bring that up again? I already apologized"
Harry rolled his eyes and continued. "That shit hurts. Go get your girl. She's waiting, man"
Even Liam had to smile now.
"What are you waiting for? Go!" Louis rolled his eyes while Liam looked at him.
"But- she's in London"
"And? You're rich rich. Fly to London, for fuck's sake"
Liam frowned and looked at him for another moment. "Liam Payne. Move your ass!"
And finally Liam left the table, walking fastly. He returned a second later.
"Thanks lads!" And with that, he was out the door.
"They'll definitely marry before you will" Niall sighed.
"Niall stop it" Louis rolled his eyes.
"We'll I'm just saying. You could hurry a little bit"
"Not up to me" Harry said, taking a sip of his drink.
"Harry!"
