Chapter Fifteen

"Isabella really isn't coming?" I asked opening the door to both Evelyn and Sophie.

"She really isn't coming, I tried even after lunch but she was strict on her no," Sophie said walking into the house as Evelyn followed shortly behind.

"And no Sebastian either, I know you got your hopes up," Evelyn rolled her eyes as she followed behind Sophie into the door.

"Stop Ev," Sophie said in a hushed but harsh tone.

"I really did, I was really looking forward to doing his makeup," I said sarcastically as I closed the front door while locking it.

"So what's the real reason you brought us here? I know you don't actually like us," Evelyn looked at me skeptical ignoring my sarcastic note I had just previously made.

"Evelyn stop being dramatic, you're giving me a headache," Sophie shook her head looking more annoyed than usual.

"Why do you think I don't like you?" I asked her.

"It's obvious, the way you look down on us when you're with them," she emphasized on them that made me realize that other people might see me as Hannah and Will. Sure they get easily mad and annoyed at people and sometimes lash out, but I'm not the same way.

"I'm not like that," I said at the same time as Sophie said, "she's not like that you idiot, I've told you this multiple times before," Sophie seemed fed up by now. She already seemed exhausted and just seemed to want to settle down and just relax.

"It's hard to believe though! If you're a good person, why hang out with the devil and it's demon babies!" Evelyn had a straight serious face as she finished but both Sophie and I burst out laughing.

"What's so funny!" She looked more pissed than.

"How angry you said demon babies!" Sophie fell on the ground laughing as I grabbed the stair banister to keep myself up.

Evelyn then broke out into a smile, "I did say it pretty angrily."

I composed myself enough to tell her the truth, "The real reason I brought you here is to get to know more people outside of my boyfriend and best friend."

"Would you even consider her a best friend?" Evelyn asked, looking confused.

"Evelyn!" Sophie looked at her shocked that it came out of her own mouth.

"If I were your best friend I wouldn't drop the groping incident once Will tells me to shut up about it. Like I'm sorry that was a bitch move! I would be WAY more comforting and vocal about the whole situation. Like how the hell have you overcome that whole thing anyway?" Evelyn looked at me expecting an answer.

Truth was I couldn't give her one, "A lot of things happened since then that being felt up in the hallway seems so small now," I sat down feeling the embarrassment rising in my cheeks on my face.

"What are you talking about?" Sophie asked.

"Yeah what's up?" Evelyn sat next to me then rubbing my back as if it would ease the unsettlement in my stomach.

"This can't be shared with anyone," I looked at both of them.

"Depends on how bad," Evelyn said out loud.

"Evelyn," Sophie sighed, "Stop trying to make people fixed and for once in your life be a friend."

"How can I be a friend if I can't trust her yet!" Evelyn shot back.

"What person shares a part of their lives with someone they don't trust!" Sophie challenged her.

"She does have a point there," Evelyn muttered to herself, "Okay, I promise," she held out her pinky.
