Chapter Forty Seven

It had been a month since the accident and Sebastian had gotten out of the hospital, he healed fairly well but Charlie had been babying him. They are taking it slow, very slow. Both haven't admitted that they feel something for each other. But I might just hope that they rushed. I can see the chemistry right there, but Alec keeps telling me I need to remove myself from that relationship. He might be right.

My dad left shorty after our argument, I ended up telling him when I got home that his other family didn't need to know what it felt like without a father figure and he left without warning the next morning, I was surprised, but it still ended up hurting all over again even when I tried my hardest not to let it. It's taken more of a toll on my mom though, I knew how in love she was with him. Losing him again was never easy for her. She keeps asking about colleges around here, and knowing I'd leave her all alone it's making me question whether it's best for me to go farther away. I mean that and Alec's hospital heat of the moment proposal, he had to be joking right?

Alec and his family went to celebrate the news of his parents doing round two on marriage, Alec seems skeptical of if things will work out. I know how much he wants everything to work out. I've always hoped for the best between those two, their history is written in their eyes. The love they had for one another never left either of them.

"Hey, you're doing it again," Alec nudged me and I shook my head and looked at him.

"Sorry," I smiled sheepishly, "I keep getting distracted."

"Is something wrong?" he asked me.

"Everythings fine," I smiled, "really. I just, a lot happened in a month."

"Yeah, like a proposal," so maybe I told Evelyn about it and she still hasn't gotten over it while the rest of the girls were calm.

"It wasn't a proposal," Alec commented.

"Kinda was though," Elijah went on agreeing with Evelyn.

"Without a ring to," Asher then butted in.

"You proposed to Kallie?" Charlie looked at her brother shocked.

"Fuck, guys see what you did?" Alec rubbed his face, "no I," I interrupted his half assed attempt to explain everything.

"Alec was just," I needed to reword it, "it was a spur of the moment and it was a stressful day. He just asked if I'd marry him, he wasn't proposing just making sure if he asked I'd say yes I guess."

"Would you?" Sebastain then asked.

"Wait, no it wasn't spur of the moment," Alec then looked at me like I had hurt his feelings.

"Baby you asking me in a hospital? Sebastain was in critcal condition hours before, I had murder on my mind, you couldn't have just wanted to," I stopped talking, it was making him sad.

"So you wouldn't want to marry me?" he asked.

I looked at everyone around me and I felt their stares, "I do," I lowered my voice, "but," I couldn't get that out because there was an explosion of sighs, curses words flying out, and pure pain coming out of everyone at the table.

"Fuck, Kallie you put the but in there!" Sebastian was the most upset.

Alec faced forward and I knew this was a topic that would be brought up the second we were out of ear shot.

"Anyways, since it's been a month of a crazy shit fest why don't we do something?" Alec then asked.

"Like what?" Isabella then asked.
