Alec and I walked into his room and he was hard to recognize.

"Shit," Alec muttered looking at him.

"Thanks man, hey Kallie Bear!" he smiled at me and tried to wave but winced.

"Don't move," his mom snapped.

"Hey did Charlie visit?" I asked.

"No, not yet. Charlies here?" he looked at his mom and then Alec.

"Yeah, she's in the lobby. She told me it wasn't her place to be back here when there were more important people to see you. She was very sweet and caring with me out there. Helped with the doctors and everything."

I saw Sebastian smile a little as his mom talked highly of her and I looked at Alec who shook his head knowing I was trying to make something happen between them when he deep down probably wants one of his best friends to be with his sister.

"Stop babe," he whispered.

My phone buzzed in my back pocket and I grabbed it and looked down to find that my mom texted, "Matt told me what happened, need you home ASAP!"

"Oh it's your father I need to go answer this," she walked out of the room.

"I'll be back, I need to call someone, but I'm glad you're awake!" I went to hug him and he winced but hugged me back no matter how painful it was for him.

"I'm not going anywhere without seeing you marry him," he whispered and I pulled out of the hug before giving him a look.

"What happened to the jealousy?" I raised my eyebrow at him.

"You were right, I was being selfish," he smiled.

"You need to apologize to him, you were such an ass," I smiled before walking past Alec who gave me a funny look and I went to go make Charlie see him before calling my mom.

Charlie was sitting there impatient but trying to be strong sitting there wondering.

I sat down next to her, "you could've told me on the steps you had a thing for Sebastian," I looked at her and her face got bright red.

"I don't know what you're talking about!" she looked at me surprised.

"Says your reaction," I smiled, "but go in there for your man. His mom told him what you did and that man smiled," and then I whispered, "he has a soft spot for a woman who cares about his mom. Plus you're just as important to see him as the next person in this room. We are all equal to him. You grew up with him in your life and I just met him. Now get your ass up and see his uglyass."

She hugged me, "I hated you for so long and now suddenly you're not half bad," she smiled jokingly.

"Go, before I tell him myself you got a little crush," I threatened and she went off before I could go in there myself.

I looked down at my phone and dialed my mom.

"Hey hun, you on your way?" she asked me.

"Not yet, I'm letting Alec visit a little before he takes me home, what's the emergency?" I asked as I walked out of the hospital.

"It's your father," she said, sounding different now.

"What about him?" I asked.

"Is that her?" I heard him in the background.

"Yes, but-" I heard shuffling and the ideas in my head made me sick.

"Get here now!" and then he hung up.
