Chapter Twenty Nine
"You went home!" my mom yelled when she came back from seeing the principal.
"I had things to get done," I shrugged, my shoulders annoyed.
"Well I came to a decision to have him suspended!" she bit back, "and Principal Michaels thinks it's a good idea to have you see a psychologist as well as I do. I've tried to get you to talk to me and I'm just now starting to realize it has gotten worse," she crossed her arms.
"Whatever," I rolled my eyes and went back to my homework.
"I called your father too," she sat down at the table and my eyes shot up instantly.
"You what!" then standing up abruptly, "are you telling me that you've had his number in your phone this whole time and just now decided to call him!"
"He's actually in town, I ran into him at Starbucks. He's coming to have dinner, we both thought it was time," she stood up.
"And does Matt know about this?" I asked.
"He wants what's best for you Kallie, and he trusts me," she went out of my room and I looked at the closed door.
"All this time, and he walks back in my life at my worst," I took a deep breath trying to stop the spinning and panic. Was I nervous to see him?
I got up and went to change into something a little more casual and less of 'I just got out of bed' before applying makeup to cover my wounds from the night before.
"Hey are you still coming?" Sophie texted me.
Why should I stay here? My dad just disappeared so why shouldn't I do so as well? He didn't deserve to see me, or talk to me. It was too late to answer my questions. He lost that chance of trying to fix things when he left and broke all his promises.
"Yeah," I responded before grabbing my keys and phone. My mom was in her bedroom on the phone and I heard her and Matt arguing.
"Matt, I know," she sounded like she was crying and I hesitated about leaving. But she had someone who could comfort her, Matt loved her.
I started my car and left in a hurry and to the party before my mom could change my mind into staying.
I pulled up at the party and realized everyone was in halloween costumes.
I texted Sophie saying I forgot an outfit. She told me no problem and to meet her by her car.
I got out looking for her and I saw her and Alex talking outside her car with Sebastian dressed up in a white top, dress pants and suspenders, with fake blood covering him and a hat.
"Guys," I looked at them confused, "what's uhh, what's going on?"
"Thank god you came!" Sebastian picked me up and spun me around, "you're saving my ass from looking like a dumbass," he put me down then.
"I'm confused," I looked at Sophie and Alex expecting one of them to explain.
"Sebastian invited one of his girls that he talks too and she bailed to go hang and be with Will and his friends. So I bought an outfit that I was going to find someone to wear so he wouldn't look like that," she gestured to him.
He looked hot, I did have to admit. Almost like he commited a murder but would go free because he was that good looking.
"Okay but who are we being?" I waited for a response and Alec appeared out of fucking nowhere.
"Bonnie and Clyde," Alec handed me a toy gun and I looked down at it, "Oh and a pack of cigarettes," he then handed one to Sebastian who lit it and I took it out of his hand and stepped on it.
