TRIGGER WARNING: THERE IS TALK OF SEXUAL ASSAULT
Chapter Twenty Six
"So you come to the tracks often?" he lifted me onto the back of his truck before lifting himself up and grabbing a beer from the cooler.
"It's my second time coming, so no not that often," I shrugged my shoulders before looking around and realizing how little you could see the race from where we were. Was this the makeout spot?
"Only the second? Damn, why'd you start coming?" he looked at me and kept his eyes on me.
See Alec was wrong, not all guys are bad here.
"I like watching the races," I looked over at the race from a distance and saw a red mustang, "do you come here alone?" I then asked.
"I drove alone, yeah, but my friends are around here somewhere. I was coming back from the bathroom when I saw that guy cornering you. Jackass, most guys here are such pieces of shit," he shook his head.
"Your friends leave you alone often huh?" I smiled and he nodded.
"I guess you could say I'm really not much of a partier," he smiled back at me.
"You and me both," I let out a laugh but it didn't have as much enthusiasm as it could've.
"Did you want to scoot a little closer and watch the race?" he hopped down and gave me his hand before I took it.
He lifted me down and I laughed.
"Careful man, she's dangerous!" someone called out and I looked up to see Will's arm draped over Hannah.
"Who's that?" the guy then asked and I realized I didn't know his name.
"My ex, William Hampton or what I'd like to call a pain in my ass," I rolled my eyes and turned back to my attention on him.
"Ex's can be fucking pshyco."
"I might sound really dumb for asking this espcially now because we've been talking for some time but I didn't get the chance to get your name," I looked up at him and he laughed.
"It's my fault for not introducing myself to someone as beautiful as you actually. But I'm Max," he had to be older than me.
"Kallie," I said knowing he deserved to know my name as well.
"A pretty name to fit a pretty girl," he smiled and oh my, was his smile perfect.
"So Max, how old are you anyway?"
"Legal enough to drink," he laughed, taking down a gulp of his beer.
"21?" I questioned.
"22 actually," he looked down at me and I felt like I was going to die of how cute he was.
"And you?" he looked over at me, questioning.
I bit my lip, it wouldn't possibly be illegal, "19," okay a small lie, making myself a couple years older than I actually am. He was just cute and telling him I was in fact 17 would probably scare him off.
"You just graduated highschool or?"
"Yeah, just graduated," I nodded.
"Are you going to college here, or are you doing the whole college thing?"
"Yeah, I go to the community college here," I nodded wanting to now get off the topic.
"What are you majoring in?" he asked.
Fuck, so many questions.
"Not sure yet, I'm just getting the credits I need and then I'll go from there," we walked closer to the fence but he stopped.
