"That's it for today's lesson. Don't forget to turn in your papers by Friday!"
"Yes, ma'am." Everyone groaned in response.
My last class for the day had finally finished and just added another level of stress for me. Sewoon, who sits in front of me, turned around and knocked on my desk to get my attention.
"Do you want to stay and work on our paper? You know I suck at Korean literature."
"You know I'm not the best either." I replied. "You should ask Areum, she knows her stuff." I advised though Sewoon only rolled his eyes.
Areum came into our homeroom class, greeted us, and sat down in the seat next to me. I eyed Sewoon, hinting that he should ask Areum to help us. Of course, he hesitated, but he had to swallow his pride.
"Areum," She turned to look at Sewoon. "You had Ms. Oh for literature last year right?" She nodded. "Do you think you can help us write our paper?"
She thought about it before giving him an answer. "What would I get in return?"
Sewoon scoffed and mumbled a few inaudible words under his breath. "I'm only doing this because my grade depends on it." A slight smirk appeared on Areum's face, and agreed to help.

We wanted to eat dinner before heading to the study rooms, so we headed to the cafeteria and grabbed us a meal. We sat down at a far corner, though there weren't many people since we got here early.
Halfway into my meal, a small group of girls I've never seen before sat down on the table in front of us. While Areum and Sewoon argued whether one dragon could win in a fight against one-thousand ducks or not, I overhead the conversation the group of girls were having.
"Did you hear the rumors about Kim Sunwoo?" One girl asked. "About the dating scandal? It's everywhere!"
"Do you think it's true?"
"There's no way it can be! Why would he be wasting his time dating?"

Please don't be talking about the Kim Sunwoo I know.

"But he seemed really excited showing off that hoodie!"
I jumped out of my seat in a jolt. Everyone was looking at me, but I didn't care. I walked up to the girls and asked them for more information.
"Well, Sunwoo from The Boyz went on Vapp last night and started showing us a gift he got for his birthday- a hoodie with an embroidered heart on the sleeve. He seemed really excited about it and many fans speculate that he's secretly dating someone."
"It's romantic, don't you think? Embroidering a heart on his hoodie." Another girl mentioned and they all nodded in agreement.
I stormed out of the cafeteria, to which Areum and Sewoon followed. I walked all the way outside and immediately took out my phone to call Sunwoo.
"The number you have dialed is currently unavailable. If you wish to leave-" I hung up and called again. "The number you have dialed is-" I hung up again. Areum and Sewoon caught up to me and asked me what was wrong. I told them everything the group of girls told me.
"A dating scandal? Already?" Areum was the first to react. "Over a hoodie?"
"For once, I agree with Areum." said Sewoon.
"This can't really be happening." I began to pace back and forth, biting my nails out of both panic and worry.
"Riyae, calm down. Have you told Sunwoo about it?" Sewoon asked.
"I tried calling but he isn't picking up." This only led me to pace faster. Areum and Sewoon seemed concerned, and I'm sure they didn't know what to do to help.
"Okay, how about we stop pacing," Areum forced me to stop by grabbing my shoulders. "We go inside and take your mind off of this with working on your paper."
"Yeah, I'm sure he'll call when he's not busy." Sewoon added.
I nodded, only because I knew it would help. We walked back in, headed to the study rooms, and began working.

An hour in, and my brain was already too overworked to focus on anything else right now. We're only halfway through the paper, but we have a whole week to work on it so we decided to stop and head out. Areum wanted to cash in her wish, so we all headed to a nearby ice cream shop. Since Sewoon was already buying, I took the liberty of ordering myself something. We each got a different flavor: Areum got mint chocolate, Sewoon got plain vanilla, and I got strawberry. We sat down at a booth and ate our ice cream. I constantly checked my phone to see if I would receive a call from Sunwoo, but nothing. I was able to hear in on Areum and Sewoon's normal conversation, but I was too fixated on my phone to care.
"Have you ever wanted to dye your hair a different color?" Areum asked Sewoon.
"I'm just waiting for my hair to grow out so I can cut all the blue off. I don't want to damage my hair too much, you know."
"I'm sure you're hair will still look like a mess." She mumbled, but we could still understand what she said.
"And your hair isn't?"
"It's been a long day." She defended herself. "But my hair still looks better than yours." I glanced over and saw Areum sticking her tongue out at Sewoon in a teasing manner. I let out a soft chuckled.
"How am I supposed to be nice to you when you act like this?" Sewoon was clearly over their conversation already.
I heared Areum sigh, and she replied, "Let's do a challenge, then. We each style our hair tomorrow for school and see how long it lasts. If you win, I won't be so mean to you. If I win," She paused. "You have to dye your hair whatever color I want."
"That's not fair! Those two aren't remotely close in value!"
"It is if I say it is." She said in a serious tone. I'm guessing she takes challenges to heart, too. I heard a sigh of defeat from Sewoon. "Fine." He said with the same tone as Areum. I look up from my phone again and see them eating their ice cream while giving each other deathly stares.
