Ch. Seven

I opened my eyes and saw I was in a nurses office. I looked around and saw Sunwoo, sitting on a chair, sleeping.
I couldn't help but smile.
He helped me.
Then it hit me. He called me pretty.

I saw a note sitting on the counter.
"Put some ice on you head to make you feel better. Go home safe - Mrs. Yeom, Nurse of Hanlim Multi Art School"
My head did feel heavy. I should get some ice. I noticed my brother wasn't in the room.
Where's Jihoon? Shouldn't he be here?

I got a bag of ice, holded it to my head, and sat down.
I couldn't help but stare at Sunwoo sleep. He looked so calm and quiet like a little baby.
He took a deep breath and he opened his eyes, sat up straight and looked around and saw me staring at him.
"Good evening, Sunwoo."
When he saw me, his eyes opened wide.
"Oh, you're awake!"
"Yeah, so are you."
"Sorry I fell asleep, how long ago did you wake up?"
"Just a couple minutes ago, don't worry."
"I couldn't leave you alone."
"Speaking of leaving alone, where's Jihoon?"
"He went to go speak with his manager about announcing you as his sister."
"Oh, finally."
"No, you should start hiding."
"Why?"
"You're basically famous if you're a kpop idol's sister."
"But Jihoon isn't a kpop idol."
"Yeah, but he's going to be one next year. It's how it is, Riyae. Live with it."
The sun was setting and the room went orange when the sun rays hit the room.
"It's gonna get pretty dark, I should go home." I said
"I'll take you."

When we walked out, the streets were quiet. The only noise were cars passing by and people talking. Why does this seem so perfect?
"You okay?"
Sunwoo looked at me, straight into my eyes.
"Yeah, I'm fine."
"Are you sure?"
I don't know.
"Yes, Sunwoo, I feel great thanks to you for carrying me to the nurses office."
His face turned red.
"Wait, you were awake?!"
I pretty sure he's worried I heard him talk to himself.
"I was only awake when Jihoon told you to take me. After you picked me up, everything turned black and next thing I knew, I woke up in the nurses office."
His face look so relieved. "Okay, just making sure I told the Mrs. Yeom right."
"You did, don't worry."
"But you seem like you have something stuck in your head and heart that you need to let out."
He's psychic. He has to be.
There was a park right beside where we were walking so I decided to sit on a swing.
"It's nothing."
Sunwoo sat beside me.
"So, there is something wrong?"
I sighed.
"Yes, there is but it's not important."
"I want to help you. Tell me. I want to know more about you and get closer to you. When I see you talking to K, Danny, or Chansuk, I get jealous because I know you like them more than me. They talk more and joke around more than I do."
"Why don't you just talk to me?"
"I-I get nervous around you. Thinking you won't like me and wouldn't want me as your friend."
I got off the swing and bend down on one knee in front of him. I looked straight into his eyes.
His face turned red again.
"I do like you. You're one of my greatest friends and, yes, were not the closest but without you, my life here would've been different. I do wish you'd talk to me more but you can start now. I want to be closer to you so we can be amazing friends. You're more than enough for me. All the guys are. I never had better friends when I was in America. I barley had two! I'm blessed to have you guys in my life."
He blinked twice.
"Wow. You really have a way with words."
"I know." I pat his knee and stood up in front of him.
 "Let's hurry before it gets dark."
I handed him my hand, kinda hoping he'd take it in his.
"You never told me what was wrong with you."
I let out a big sigh and dropped my hand.
"It's late, I'll tell you tomorrow when we have our one on one game."
He rolled his eyes and smiled right after.
"Fine, just don't get chased by another mob of girls."
I held out my hand again and he grabbed it so I could help him stand up. He didn't let go of my hand.

We arrived at my house and I waved good bye as I opened the door.

I hope this isn't the last time he take me home.
