It wasn't too late when Sunwoo and I arrived to my house; the sun was only barely setting. We bid our farewells and I went inside. When I turned around, I saw my mom in front of me with her arms crossed.
Crap...
"Mom! W-why are you home so early?" I said nervously.
"I asked to go home early so I could spend some time with my children before their exams but...it looks like you had plans." The tone in her voice was scary, almost like she was threatening me. Before I could explain myself, my mother asked,
"Who was that?"
"Who?" I retorted.
"The person who I assumed walked you home."
"Ah...that-that's just a friend who I um..."
My mother kept a serious face, unfazed by my shakiness.
An idea for an excuse popped into my head.
"A friend who I was studying with! Yeah! We studied at school together 'cause, you know, we have an exams tomorrow."
Now I'm glad Sunwoo didn't give me a chance to change out of my uniform.
"Okay, your result better back you up." She still had a skeptical look, but just decided to leave it.
I should really study.
I ran up the stairs and took my books and notes out. As fun and amazing it is to be with Sunwoo, I don't think it's worth me repeating a year of school."Finally!" Sewoon exclaimed as we walked out of the class. It was our last test for the school year and we had finally managed to complete them.
"It actually wasn't that hard." I said as we walked down the hall.
"See? I told you there was nothing to worry about!"
I chucked. "You know you're always right, Sewoon."It was currently our free time so we went outside to feel the fresh and crisp winter air. We sat down on a bench on the side of the soccer field.
"So, how are things going with Sunwoo?" Sewoon bluntly asked.
I was slightly taken aback by his question.
I'm slowly getting used to this whole thing, but it still all feels like dream.
I sighed.
"Pretty good. We've already started planning our next date." I responded casually.
"Oooh, your second date. What are you guys planning to do?"
"I think we agreed to do something a bit more simple since we just need time to relax after all the testing."
"Sounds boringgg."
I gave him a strange look.
"What do you mean by boring?" I asked.
He shrugged. "I don't know, I'd think you guys would want to do something a bit more interesting and fun since he's graduating soon."
"I mean, you have a point but we have time for that later. I think we just need a calm and relaxing day."
Sewoon's eyes widen in shock, I couldn't tell why.
"What's wrong with your face?" I asked.
"You guys have only been dating for two weeks and your already acting as if you've been dating for two years!"
"What do you mean?"
"You're already talking comfortably and casually about him. Knowing you, I'd imagine you'd still be freaking out after two weeks." He answers honestly.
I did sound casual saying that...should I not be okay with it yet? When am I supposed to treat it like a normal thing? All these questions.....
"Well, we've been friends for a while so I guess that's why I'm used to it now." I lied.
"Really? Okay, if you say so."
The bell rang so we went back inside and finished off the school day.
