When I got home, I went straight to bed. I wasn't tired but I needed space to think.
I feel like the answer is obvious but it's not easy to admit.
I lay down and stare at the ceiling.

I feel sad because the soccer match didn't happen with Sunwoo.
It's obvious I have something for him, right? But it doesn't feel right...
I don't feel anything when I see him. Isn't that usual when you have a crush? You get those butterflies in your stomach when you seen their face? When you hear them speak? When you see their smile? Hear their laugh? It's been a while it's I've had a crush. I don't even think I'd consider it a crush...
But this is different and I think I'd know when I've developed feelings for someone. This isn't it.

*knock* *knock*

There goes someone interrupting my thoughts.

"Who is it?" I said loudly.
"It's Jihoon. Can I come in?"
I wonder what he wants...
"Sure."
He opened the door and stood there waiting to tell me something. Hopefully something good.
"What is it?" I ask.
"So, I talked to my manager about what happened today,"

I kinda forgot that happened. I was too focused on Sunwoo. A-And the fact that he rain checked our match. I just want to play soccer with someone challenging, just like I'm back home.
Jihoon kinda sucks at soccer. But he's good at basketball. I'm better than him at that sport too.

"He said he'd make it official as soon as he can."
"That's a relief. Why didn't they just make it official earlier so I wouldn't have to go through this mess? Shouldn't your manager or the company have known the dangers of the idols' family? What fame can do to people and how corrupt they make their precious kpop idols!?"
"Woah, you okay? You seem angry...-er than usual."
"Sorry, I never really liked the whole kpop industry."
"I've noticed..."
"That doesn't mean I hate you for following your dreams. If it makes you happy, by all means, follow your dream."
"Thanks, sis. I'm really glad I met you and that you get to stay here. It's nice to have someone to talk to. It gets awkward with just mom and dad here."
We both laughed to lighten the mood a little more.
"Well, I should do homework now." I said before it got awkward.
"Right. You should."
Jihoon left.

It's nice to still have a brother here and being the youngest.
I kinda miss my family in the United States. My parents, siblings. But that was all still a lie. I'm over it though but I want to see them again. And my friends...

*NEXT DAY*
I woke up...happy. I forgot about the possibilities that could occur at school. I just want to beat Sunwoo at soccer!

I got dressed and Jihoon was waiting for me in the kitchen, breakfast already set out.
"So, I have to meet up with the group after school meaning I won't be able to walk you home. And I probably won't get home 'till 8,"
I interrupted. "Can't I just walk home by myself?"
He laughed.
"You know mom and dad wouldn't let you."
"I haven't even asked."
"You shouldn't. Plus, it's just a day so you can ask one of the guys to take you."
"Oh! I don't think you remembered but Sunwoo and I planned to hang out this afternoon. To play soccer. Maybe he'll take me."
"I mean, I guess. But Sunwoo's pretty busy with his group. I don't think he'll have time to take you home. Doesn't he live with his group?"
I don't know why he was asking as if I knew everything about Sunwoo. Plus, he can just look it up.
"Let's just see how things turn out after school. We should head out."

I haven't really realized how busy Sunwoo might be...

I arrived at school and I didn't even care what happened anymore. I knew things would get better.
Someone approached me.
"Hey, you're that girl that gets chased down every day by a mob of girls, right?"
I studied him a little bit.
Dark blue hair (obviously dyed), tall (maybe 5'11"), tan skin, sweet brown eyes,  big black glasses (kinda nerdy), and he had a pretty deep voice. He looked like a really nice person.
"The one and only, I think..? I don't know if stupid stuff like this happens often."
"You're funny!"
"Thanks, I guess. What do you want?"
"I just hate seeing girls go boy crazy and end up fighting each other. Or fighting one girl."
Wow, this is interesting.
"Yeah, it sucks."
"Well, I want to help you. You don't seem to have any friends and I don't have that many here at school."

He wants to be friends with me? This is a weird way of asking. Well, I've never seen anyone ask this way.

"How are you supposed to help me?"
"Well, I'm a dude and not a kpop idol. What reason would they have to get near me? Even if you're next to me."
I guess he has a point but it doesn't seem convincing.
I really need a friend at school...
"Sure but that plan doesn't seem very convincing. Just wanted you to know that."
He laughed again.
"Well thanks."

*AFTER SCHOOL*

I can't wait to see Sunwoo and beat him at soccer!

"Hey, Riyae!"
It was that guy that I never asked what his name was. Cool.
"Hey....,"
"It's Se-woon. Han Se-woon."
"Sorry I forgot to ask for your name."
"It's fine. Where are you headed?"
I don't know if I can tell him everything yet. It seems too fast right now.
Oh well.
"To Hanlim."
He seemed confused.
"Why?"
I shook my head.
"You know why those mobs chase after me, right?"
"Isn't because you're really close with that trainee, Jihoon? The guy every girl goes crazy over even though there are a lot of other kpop dudes in that school."
"Yeah, well, Jihoon is actually my brother."
He had a shocked face. But it isn't really shocking.
"It makes sense..How come I haven't seen or heard of you before?"
I sighed...
"It's a long story. I just have to get to the school to meet up with someone else. My brother's busy with his kpop stuff so he can't walk me home."
"Your brother has to walk home with you? You can't just go right after school instead of meeting up with him?"
"Protective parents. It hasn't even been a year since I've came to Korea."
"Wait, what?!"
"Ugh, never mind. I should start heading over there now."
"I'll walk with you then. I got nothing better to do."

Homework. But I guess that's not something better...

We arrived and no angry mob today!

I saw Jihoon getting ready to leave.
"Hey, see you at home later but I gotta go right now. Bye and be careful. If something happens to you, you'll have to hear from mom and dad."
"Yeah, yeah. I know."
He walked away.
"He seems cool."

Whatever.

I saw Sunwoo talking to K, Danny, and Chansuk.
I guess I have to go over there now.

"Hey guys."
They all looked at me and smiled.
"Jihoon says you have to hang out with us." K speaks first.
"Yeah, he put us in charge of you." Now Chansuk talked.
That doesn't seem fair.
I saw Sunwoo looking down at his phone.

I really hope that he doesn't have to leave again.

"Wait, who are these dudes?"
I totally forgot about Sewoon.
"These are my brother's friends. I told you I had to meet up with one of them."
"Ohhh, right. Can you introduce me?"

Getting a little deja vu right now.

"Uhh..."
I introduced them to him and they seemed cool about it.

"They sound cool."
Doesn't sound very enthusiastic...
"Dude, I hope you know you can't hang out with Riyae since we're taking care of her."
They didn't have to been rude about it.
"Yeah, I should head home. See you at school, Riyae."

I just waved at him. He seems really nice but going way too fast.

We all started walking. I didn't know where we were going...

I decided to talk to Sunwoo about our match.
"Hey, Sunwoo."
He put his phone away and gave me his full attention.
"Hey. Are you gonna talk about our soccer match?"
"Yeah, I mean, I was hoping to play today."
He smiled.
"Me too."
Now I was smiling.
"We're heading towards the field. You brought the appropriate clothing, right?"

I've been holding on to it in my bag ever since we planned it.

"Of course! You ready to lose?"
He laughed a hysterical laugh.
"You should be the one to prepare because I'm gonna beat you!"

The other guys started putting bets on us. I didn't want to know who put how much on who. It would make me nervous.

We got onto the field. I've been waiting for this moment and hopefully I'll win. But it's great to have more of a challenge.

"First to 5?" Sunwoo asks.
"10." I want this game to last a while.

If it means spending time with Sunwoo, I can handle it.

But why do I want to spend time with him so badly? This is a weird feeling.
I don't like it...
