Once Jihoon and I got home, I quickly went to the kitchen to get a small snack and then I ran up to my room. Jihoon had to leave for his meeting with his group so he got his stuff and left.
I threw my stuff down and threw myself on my bed. Looking at the ceiling, I replay the moment Sunwoo asked for my number. Over and over, still being unable to believe it even happened. I moved on to think about what Kangji said about Sunwoo, trying to imagine him laying the blanket over me and slowly guiding my head to his shoulder.
Why is this all so suddenly happening to me?
Trying my best to keep calm and not annoy myself, I decide to distract myself by doing my homework. While I got my stuff, I also grabbed my phone and layed it in the far right corner on my desk.As I began getting close to completing my homework, I still haven't received a text from Sunwoo.
It makes sense if he doesn't immediately text me, wouldn't want to seem needy, right? Plus, he's probably with his group right now and working. The sun starts to set and my room becomes dull. I stand up to turn the lights on but then I hear my phone get a notification. I stumbled to get my phone to check if it was from Sunwoo. I bring the phone to my chest and mentally prepare myself.
I let out a long sigh and check to see what he said:...nothing.
I saw the notification and saw that it was actually from Sewoon.
I didn't know whether to be relieved or frustrated, or both. I look to see what he could've said that was so important.Sewoon: Hey, did you finish your homework yet? Do you need any help or anything?
......*sigh*
I try my best to keep calm and not go off at Sewoon.
Me: I'm actually almost finished with it, thanks though!I put my phone back down and continue the last few problems on my homework.
Sunwoo's probably not going to text me today, I should probably let it go for now.
I finally finish all of my homework after struggling with it for quite a while. To reward myself and to distract myself from the awaiting text from Sunwoo, I decided to take a nice, long, and warm shower. After finishing my well-deserved 45 minute shower, I walk back to my room and put on my pajamas so I can be more comfortable. I looked over at my phone sitting on my desk, eager to see if I got a text. I slowly started making my way to my phone.
Resist the urge, he probably hasn't texted you yet. Don't get your hopes up.
Regaining my self control, I walk downstairs and try to distract myself by watching some random movie and making myself some ramen for dinner.Having finished watching about 2 and a half American movies that I would watch back in the US, I got pretty tired. I made my way to the bathroom before going off to bed, leaving the kitchen light on for Jihoon and my parents for when they come home.
Once I finished my nighttime routine, I went straight to my room. I grabbed my phone, turned off the lights, and went to bed.
It was only 10:39 p.m, the moonlight slightly shining through my window into my dark my room, I decided to go on my phone and check my social media.
As I turned on my phone, I saw a text notification from Sunwoo.
I quickly put my phone down and I stare at the ceiling eyes wide-opened.
He actually texted me?? I thought he would just do it tomorrow. I can't believe I completely forgot about it...
I close my eyes to mentally prepare myself to talk to Sunwoo.
I lift my phone so that it's infront of me, and I read his text.Sunwoo: Hey, Riyae
Sunwoo: It's SunwooJust keep calm and say something simple
Me: Hey, Sunwoo
Sunwoo: I'm sorry I didn't text you earlier, I just finished practice
Me: It's alright, no need to apologize ^_^
Eww, a smiley face ? Really ?
We continued to talk a bit about our day and some other stuff too. The conversations were very enjoyable and I barely found myself bored, maybe because this is the first time talking to him via text messages.
Not long after talking about school, he asked me the big question.
