Throughout the week, Jonghoon and I didn't interact as much. He gave me space but I also purposefully tried to distance myself. I used my pile of school work as an excuse so Sewoon and Areum wouldn't ask questions.
I tried to think more about what Jonghoon said but honestly, a part of me is scared of what my answer is. I don't think I'm prepared if I do have feelings for Jonghoon.

It's now Thursday, the day before I leave for Busan. I finished my classes for the day so I leave campus to go into work.
As I walk towards the entrance gate, I hear someone call my name. I turn around and see Jonghoon. He leaves his classmates and walks up to me.

"Are you finished with you classes already?"
"Yeah. I actually have to go to work now so..."
"Oh, right. I just wanted to ask if you were free to talk tomorrow? Since it'll be Friday. we can meet at the library like we usually do."
I know he wants to talk about my answer. Most people don't wait this long, especially if they already reciprocate those feelings. I feel bad that I can't give him an answer, but now I feel worse that I won't be able to meet with him.
"Sorry, but I won't be here tomorrow."
He seemed disappointed but curious.
"How come?"
"I have to leave for the weekend. It's a work-thing I have to do in Busan."
I could tell he wasn't too fond of this news. He looked down at the ground while he fiddled with his hands.
Taking pity, I decided to say something that will hopefully make him feel better.
"In case you're wondering about my answer," he immediately looked up with hopeful eyes. "I'm still thinking about it."
He just smiles and nods. I say an awkward goodbye and walk away.

. . .

I grab my suitcase out of my bedroom. I quietly make my way to the door since it's still early in the morning. I take one last glance at the apartment.
Please don't be a mess when I come back

I take a bus to the train station where I'll be meeting up with the rest of the team. I aboard the train and take my seat next to Yeojin. It didn't take me long to fall asleep.

Once we arrived to Busan, we went straight to the hotel to leave our stuff. At first glance, it didn't seem too different from Seoul. There were tall buildings and skyscrapers with people all bunched together on the street. I could smell a hint of the sea as we got closer to the ports.

We all arrived to the hotel and set our stuff into our assigned rooms. I, of course, was staying in a room with Yeojin. The hotel isn't the most luxurious I've been seen but it's not horrible.
Once everyone was settled and had cleaned up a bit, we met back in the lobby to go out for a quick lunch.

As the team in charge of the photography and film side of the company, there wasn't much need for us today at the venue. Afterwards, we went over the schedule for tomorrow which was the first concert. They also had a second concert in the same venue the following day. Then, we spent the whole rest of our time sightseeing. I remember Areum and Sewoon begged me to bring them something from here so I kept a watchful eye for anything they might like. I also debated whether I should bring something for Jonghoon, just to not leave him out but I don't know if something could change when I get back.

The next morning, I wake up a little sore— I'm not used to sleeping in other beds. I got ready for the day knowing it'll be a long one. I waited for Yeojin to finish getting ready so we could walk down to the lobby together and eat breakfast.

I tried my best not to think about later today while eating. Not only do I have to worry about my performance as an intern, but I'll have to spend the whole afternoon near Sunwoo and the memebers. I'm not too worried about seeing them again since I've already had a brief awkward but pleasant conversation with Eric and Juyeon. Hopefully, they all don't perceive me negatively.
