Hanna skirted around her room, fretting over what to wear.
"Okay, nothing fits over this", Hanna whined, motioning to the white bandage on her thigh. Spencer and Avery exchanged annoyed looks, before the former sighed, "Well, Hanna, if you just wait until your mom goes to work, then we don't have to sneak around."
"No, I am not going to school like this."
"Hanna, you faked a fracture in seventh grade, because you thought it looked cool", Avery deadpanned.
"That was seventh grade. Everything was cool back then. I'm not going to school with a big open wound."
"I thought you said Wren stitched it up", Spencer wondered.
"He did, but I have to let it breathe or else it could get infected", Hanna replied, before finally pulling out an olive green, tiered midi skirt. Which was a complete 180 from Hanna's usual outfits.
"Whoa. When did you get that?"
"Eighth grade"
Avery suppressed a giggle, "Did it come with castanets?"
"It's not Spanish, it's Greek", Hanna rolled her eyes, "I played 'Peasant lady' in Mamma Mia. Can you give me some pins, please?"
Avery reached out for the pins Hanna asked as Spencer's eyebrows scrunched in confusion, "I don't remember you in Mamma Mia."
"Good, because I look fat and hideous and I had to stand next to a cardboard goat"
While Hanna was busy fixing the skirt, that was four sizes bigger for her, her phone buzzed, flashing Wren's name on the screen. Spencer picked the phone up, a frown etched onto her face, "Um, Wren is calling you", Hanna walked over and promptly cut the call, as Spencer's frown deepened, "Why don't you wanna talk to him?"
"What's going on with you and everyone's favourite British doctor?", Avery raised an eyebrow, suddenly recalling Hanna's fidgety behaviour, the last time she mentioned his name.
"Nothing", Hanna dragged the word, for emphasis. Spencer, obviously didn't fall for it, "Hanna. Hanna, come on, look at me. Okay, I know that A has made it incredibly hard for you and Caleb-"
"Hard?", Hanna screeched, "Try impossible."
"So, what, is Wren moving in?", Avery asked in a totally-not-judgmental tone.
"Look, I know that he can be persuasive", Spencer added, "I mean, the dimples, the accent-"
"Okay, can we not talk about this?", Hanna rolled her eyes.
"-You are not the first girl to fall for Downton Grabby."
"Hello, um, she's been there", Avery pointed at Spencer, who huffed in annoyance.
"Well, I'm not there", Hanna retaliated.
"Yet", Avery grinned cheekily, knowing that it wasn't true. The brunette only wanted to get a rise out of Hanna.
