In front of the fireplace of the Hastings house, Hanna sat with blanket wrapped around her shivering body.

"Here's some aspirin", Avery said, walking over to where the blonde was, and sitting down beside her.

Aria, who had also joined them by then, asked, "You want me to make you some soup?"

"Thanks, but I'm not hungry", Hanna shook her head.

"You want another blanket?", Spencer enquired, a folded blanket already in her hand

"Sure", Hanna gratefully took the blanket from the taller girl.

Emily placed Hanna black designer bag on the tepoy, "Here's your bag. I think Caleb called. Your phone was making noise."

Hanna didn't make any signs of calling Caleb back. Spencer sighed, "Han? Now, I know that you might not be ready to talk about this, but the sheriff said they were gonna drag the lake first thing in the morning."

Hanna shook her head, "Lucas isn't in the lake."

"He didn't come up to shore. We waited", Emily countered softly.

"He knows how to swim, all right?! He's out there somewhere. I can feel it!"

"I still can't believe that Lucas would help A", Aria exhaled as she rubbing Hanna's back comfortingly.

"Why not?", Avery rolled her eyes, "Jenna did the same thing with Caleb. A knows Lucas is close to Hanna."

"No, I get it, I just never really saw Lucas as being that violent."

"He can be", Hanna interjected, "Lucas was the one who destroyed Alison's memorial. I found out the night I got out of the hospital."

"Why didn't you tell us?", a flabbergasted Spencer asked as Hanna shrugged, "Told me to keep a secret. To protect him. He's been through a lot. Alison really tortured him."

"Maybe it's time to start protecting you", Emily sighed.

Avoiding the topic, Hanna leaned over to her bag to pull out a couple of pills and her water bottle, spouting out the excuse that she had a headache.

Avery's eyes widened when she saw the brown, murky water inside the bottle, "Hanna, don't drink that!"

"That's lake water!", Aria added.

But Hanna had already gulped it in. Her face contorted in disgust and she spat it out, "Too late."

"How did that get in there?", Emily exclaimed incredulously.

"The bag was outside in the car", Aria added.

"But all of us were in here", Avery said, a vague idea of what happened springing in her mind.

"Yeah, Lucas wasn't", Spencer stated as a matter-of-fact, "Maybe he just wants to finish what he started."

Exactly after Spencer had said that, Hanna's phone dinged.
