What had life become at this point? A mayhem of suspicious characters, stalkers, murders, cops. What seemed like the end of something, only proved to be the beginning of something bigger and worse.
In the middle of almost all of Rosewood, with its huge captious eyes, five girls stood, clustered together, like they only had each other in this world. Why the throng of people? Ian Thomas was dead. More specifically, Ian Thomas was presumed dead by five teenagers, who had no proof whatsoever. Not even a corpse, which ought to be there, dangling in between the church bell ropes.
Aria asserted, "He wasn't moving, okay, and he was not breathing."
"Because he was dead", Avery stated blatantly.
"Is dead", Spencer reminded the girls, "Not was, is"
"So unless we're saying Ian is a zombie, someone moved the body", Emily said.
"It was probably stuffed in the trunk of "A's" car", Hanna added, as Emily widened her eyes, "It's probably on its way to a meat grinder." Now that was something, NONE of the girls wanted to visualize.
"Oh, Em, come on, you gotta quit watching those horror films", Avery groaned.
"You guys, A's probably watching us right now", Spencer remarked, her eyes darting back and forth over the crowd.
"Any one of these people could be A", Hanna sighed.
"Half the town is here!", Avery exclaimed exasperatedly, as Garrett walked over the the girls, "They want to see you girls down at the station. I'm here to drive you."
Aria raised an eyebrow, "Ben can drive us, can't he?"
"No, he can't. Avery's too involved in this case for her brother to be driving you girls."
"Uh, well, I saw my parents earlier", Spencer began, rapidly trying to find an excuse, "They're going to want to know where we're going."
"They'll meet us there. Come on. Let's go."
The car was pretty small for the five girls to fit in comfortably, but somehow they managed to fit in it, without splitting them. Garrett turned into a narrow street, a detour from the usual road towards the police station.
Spencer furrowed her eyebrows, "Hey, I thought we were going to the police station." Garrett didn't reply; he continued driving.
"Why are we stopping?", Hanna asked in paranoia.
"Garrett-", Emily began as Garrett stepped on the breaks, stopping the car. He looked at the girls and ordered, "Let's go."
"No, I'm not going anywhere", Avery crossed her arms as Garrett glared at the brunette, "Get out of the car." The others were quick to comply, so Avery decided to do as she was told, nevertheless prepared to fight.
