Like every other day, the girls were heading towards the Brew for their morning coffee. Hanna, Aria and Avery chatted animatedly among themselves, while Spencer trailed behind them, lost in her own thoughts.

"-so I'll be going to Rosewood Day after lunch, to tour the school", Avery groaned, "Olivia already bought the uniform even though I haven't officially enrolled."

"Ew", Hanna shuddered, at the thought of having uniforms at school, before noticing Spencer, who was lost in her own thoughts. "Still recovering?", Hanna smirked at Spencer, who looked up confused.

"From the anniversary dinner", Aria clarified.

"Yeah", Spencer nodded, "Yeah!"

"Was he surprised?", Avery wondered. Knowing Spencer, she probably planned the entire evening perfectly.

"Mm-hmm", Spencer hummed, "It was a really big surprise."

"Where were you last night?", Aria nudged Hanna, "Were you with Caleb?"

"No, he's being really weird", Hanna complained, "Every time I try to make plans with him, he says he's busy, but he won't tell me what he's doing."

"Why don't you just ask him?", Avery shrugged, "Be honest."

"Wow", Aria rolled her eyes, "It's like the world's fattest man giving dieting tips."

"Hello!", Hanna exclaimed, "You're the one who's sitting on a secret the size of the 'Natterhorn'!"

"Okay, if you're talking about Fitz and the kid, I'm gonna tell him today. And the goal was never to keep it from him. I-I'd wake up every morning with the intention of telling him, and then I'd go to sleep every night feeling guilty that I didn't."

"At least you have your afternoons free"

"Nice bit of support", Aria huffed, "Oh, and by the way, it's 'Matterhorn'. M."

"Aren't you the one that's supposed to be correcting her?", Avery directed the remark to Spencer, who seemed uncharacteristically engrossed in whatever was running through her mind, "What's wrong?"

"Uh, nothing", Spencer shook her head, "We didn't really get much of an anniversary 'cause Toby had to get up early for work the next day."

"Aw, I'm so sorry", Avery frowned, "That sucks."

"Yeah, it does", Spencer nodded, before placing her palm on her forehead, "Listen, um, I'm gonna skip the Brew today 'cause I have a lot of reading to catch up on, for English, so I'll catch you at lunch."
