"One week after his arrest, Reynolds pled not guilty to the charge of Alison DiLaurentis' murder. However, prosecutors remain confident with their case. Rosewood PD's working theory is that Reynolds became a police officer to destroy evidence that linked him to the murder scene. Investigators received a break in the case when that document was recovered-", the shrill voice of the news reporter floated throughout the room.
A week had passed, since they witnessed the little encounter between Garrett and Rosewood PD. An entire week, with no taunts from A, even though they knew A was still at large. If they had learned anything, it was to never underestimate A. The five girls were sitting in front of the TV, intently staring at the screen where the woman was explaining what had happened and what was going to happen.
"That must be page 5 of Ali's autopsy report", Avery noted, "Garrett took it, but somebody gave it back."
"My mom is friends with the prosecutor. That somebody...was Jenna", Spencer revealed, as Avery rolled her eyes. She was right in not distrusting Jenna.
"Can we finally put Ali to rest now?", Aria drawled, but Emily worried, "Or is two down and two to go?"
"Ian's dead, Garrett's in jail. Melissa and Jenna were in Ali's room that night too", Hanna remarked, before clamping her mouth shut when she heard approaching footsteps.
"Love gone wrong", Melissa whistled, as she leaned on the dining table, the girls were sitting around.
"What are you talking about?", Avery muttered.
"I know Ian didn't kill Alison, and you four can keep a secret, but you don't have the constitution for murder", Melissa chuckled, "I wasn't kidding when I said I know how Jenna Marshall went blind. Garrett knew too. If he killed Alison, it's because he thought she deserved it", Melissa added with a smug expression, as she wobbled towards the table, and grabbed a cup of yogurt, "Is this peanut butter?"
"Toffee", Aria corrected.
"Mm. It is good", Melissa winked, "Thanks."
Just then the four girls' phones plinked in unison. Just when they thought they were past that.
You still have something that belongs to me. Bring it, or one of you leaves in a body bag.
-A
"Something wrong?", Melissa frowned when she watched the four girls' face drop.
"No, it's nothing", Spencer shrugged.
"Are you sure?"
"Positive"
Melissa shrugged before sauntering out of the room. Once she was out of earshot, the girls scooted closer together, minus Spencer, who had gone to open the door that had just rung.
