"Oh, my God", Avery exclaimed, when she took one look at Spencer, who sat panting for breath, with her hair plastered to the side of her face, "Are you all right?"
"Yeah", Spencer assured.
"Thank God Aria got here when she did", Emily added, having reached there a couple minutes before Avery did. She went on to explain that Spencer got locked in the steam room, by A. As usual, A didn't go without leaving a kind note on the glass enclosure. Luckily, Aria came just in time, to rescue Spencer.
"Where's Hanna?", Aria wondered.
"I don't know", Emily shook her head, "She won't answer any of my texts or calls."
"So, who is it?", Avery questioned, her eyes tracing the remnants of the message scrawled on the foggy glass door, "Who's helping Mona?"
"We should wait for Hanna", Aria suggested.
"No, this is too important to wait!"
"Okay, but you guys need to know that I've been warned not to tell you", Spencer informed.
"What else is new?", Aria scoffed.
"Wait a minute", Emily frowned, "You knew who it was before tonight?"
"Yeah. I've known for a few weeks", Spencer confessed.
"Why didn't you tell us any sooner?", Avery's eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
"I wanted to be sure. I didn't want to believe that it could be true, but after tonight happened, I can't keep this to myself anymore", Spencer got up to smudge the writing on the glass, "Toby is A"

"So, what are we saying?", Emily said, after a long period of nothing but heavy silence, "That what Ali wrote in Emily's notebook was true?"
"That Toby's secretly hated us ever since Ali threw that firecracker in his garage?", Aria's eyes widened.
"Yeah, I guess so", Spencer shrugged, staring blankly at herself in the foggy mirror.
"And the whole time that you two were together, he was just pretending?", Avery asked quizzically before scoffing, "Okay, we all know how much Toby loves you."
"This can't be true. There has to be more to the story", Emily pressed.
"If he loved me, he would not have let me sit outside of his loft bawling my eyes out for hours. Okay? He wouldn't have taken everything out of A's lair when he knew that I had the key. He wouldn't be trying to hurt me...us!", Spencer snapped.
"I am so sorry, Spence. Mona must have something over him", Aria suggested.
"Trust me, I have tried to come up with every possible explanation as to why he could be doing this, and it all leads back to the same conclusion."
