Elizabeth's POV:
"So what's this whole floating lantern thing about?" I asked Varian as his dad drove a wagon up to the city.
There were three lanterns in the back that we were gonna release into the sky in about an hour.
"Well it's something that the king and queen do for the lost princess every year on her birthday, it's supposed to be a way to guide her home" he explained.
"Well that's sweet" i said.
Varian smiled "yeah"
An hour later
"How do we get them to float anyway?" I asked.
"well to keep it simple they have candles inside them that when lit make them float like balloons" he explained as he released his lantern into the sky.
"Wow that's really interesting" i said releasing my lantern into the sky too.
