ABOUT MYSELF

They were there,staring at each other. Even though the distance separating them wasn't that big, they were apart.

Even since he had woken up, silence was reigning. None of them took the initiative.

Birds chirping could be heard echoing trough the room. One of them had to break the silence to avoid making the situation at hand more awkward

Surprisingly,he was the first to break trough the pressure.

"S-so,about what I sent you...."

Before he could even finish his sentence,she sighed and placed her hands on both side of her cheek as if to ponder something.

" I-I wasn't really...."

She became a little irritated and started retorquing:

" Listen,here! This isn't really the moment to deflect anything ."

"W-well,you're right" he said,leaving behind his panic.

She continued.

" I've been meaning to ask you something for a while."

He was visibly confused.

" Hm,o-ok. What is it,Rae?"

She took a deep breath and asked the heavy loaded question.

"Do you actually like me?"

He wasn't prepared to hear her interrogate him about something like that. However, it was to be expected after what happened. He answered the best way he could.

" Obviously,I do.W-what do you mean?"

She locked her fist in the air.

" Sykkuno! I swear I'm gonna actually punch you. I asked for the real answer."

He had no other choice but to tell what he tought after seeing such a serious expression on her face.

" The truth is..... I do love you a lot..."

This answer left her confused on what to do. On one hand,it was clear at this point that he did like her but in truth,she wasn't exactly feeling the same way at the moment. She had no idea how to give a proper answer to his current emotions so she resorted to a temporary answer.

"What about you?",he asked curious.

Even tho she had come to a decision,the words couldn't come out of her mouth. The only sentence she was capable of muttering before running out was:

" Huh,hm. See you tomorrow,I guess."

She ran out,with a red teint all over her face.

" Hm,Rae,we don't have anything scheduled together tomorrow..."

Ironically,the personn must pressing for answer didnt respond.

P.s.: Kind of a plot twist but I tought it would be a better idea to gradually develop the interaction towards the final goal,hence the plot twist. I don't really like the idea of concluding the 1st part right here cause in my opinion it feels cheap in a way and not really earned. Thank you for reading, I truly appreciate anyone who takes the time to and hope you enjoy the story so far.
