PARTING DAYS- Chapter T: Those moments

They had been walking for a while, losing themselves in the current of time.

She stopped for a moment and signaled him to wait for her.

" The heck? Are you hurt somewhere?"

She massaged the nerves near her eyes.

Rae: " I'ts fine, it's just a brain freeze. I ate the ice cream a little too quick."

He looked down to notice the empty cone. 

" ( I wanted some too.)"

He waited for her.

" Are you fine, now?"

Rae: " Yes, for the most part. "

" What do you wanna do next?"

Rae: " I don't know, surprise me."

" I might know some interest place or two."

Her eyes shined.

Rae: " Like some kind of amusement park?"

" And where would I find the tickets at this exact moment exactly?"

She suddenly got something out of her pocket. She presented it to him.

It was some rectangular object.

Rae: " I know that phone you have now carries bad memories."

She placed the wrapped gift in front of his eyes.

" You didn't have to. Please, keep it."

Rae: " Are you trying to return my gift?"

He accepted the gift as his sweat levels had suddenly increased.

" T-thanks."

Rae: " Now you don't have to touch the witch phone anymore ."

He could the eerie smile on her face as she said it.

" Witch?"

Rae: " The one that shall not be named."

" Ok...."

He didn't try to ask any further questions. 

As they walked side by side, the sun slowly started to descend. Curious about what he would think about it, she professed:

Rae: " If you love me that much, why did you let her make you ignore me?"

She turned her head to the side, afraid of the kind of answer he was gonna give.

" I have no excuse for that, you can hate me all you want for it."

Rae: " I don't hate you for it, it just made me mad. If anything, the one I hate is her."

" Sorry to have angered you."

Rae: " A-nyway, why?"

" What do you mean why?"

Rae: " You really tought I would believe that the fact I was the "first" was the only reason?"

He silenced himself for quite some time.

" So, you saw trough me that much?" 

Rae: " ...."

" It's just, those moments, even this time right now. I can never get enough of it."

She smiled in response and giggled.

Rae: " What's that suppose to mean ?"

He closed the distance.

" That the fact you here, right now, in this moment, it makes me truly happy."

Her train of tought had stopped. He grabbed her hand to direct her to their next destination.

" ( It makes me happy too), she tought as she was feeling the wind along the ride.
