THE EXCLUSIVE AND THE UNREQUITED PART 3: THE UNREQUITED

Rae:" The thing is,I....."

The silouhette was getting closer.

She walked past Evah.

" What's happening there ? I tought you'd be the only one here,Rae. Hi,Evah. F-funny seeing you there."

Evah didn't anticipate for her to have had an appointment with him. She answered the salutation shyly.

" Anyway, that cafe, are we still going to it?"

Rae stared blankly at him,as if he had professed something obscene.

Rae: " Can't you read the room...."

" B-but we're not in a room..."

Evah had seen this sight multiple times, during her introduction to them and many more times. It was all too natural.

Rae:"You think you're clever,huh", she said poking his forehead, giggling.

Of course, since they were in the middle of something serious, Evah stopped them immediately.

Evah: " Did you guys forget I'm here too?"

Sykkuno opened his mouth to say something.

Evah:" No,I don't want my forehead to be poked!"

He was shocked.

" How did you know I was gonna say that?"

Both girls stared at him with a blank gaze.

Rae: " Well, you can be predictable at times."

Evah: "True."

" Wait,that's not true! I can perfectly be unpredictable."

While this whole new argument started,Evah came back to her sense.

Evah: " Wait! This wasn't the issue!"

" Hm?"

The gaze of the almost broken maiden landed upon something she didnt seem to accept. The cocoa skinned girl was unknowingly holding onto her most desired treasure arm. It happened while this side talk initiated. However, she was the first to notice.

Meditating on how this came to be, she remembered it happened during
the joke he made about the location. When her rival answered him,she had ,locked his right arm without a second tought.

They noticed her quietness.

" Are you ok?"

She tought at this point that she had no chances from the start and was doomed to fail. However, following the path she forged for herself, decided to ask anyway. She walked toward the man she falled for,so much so that most would consider it an embarrassing distance. Before she could utter something, he felt like his arm was heavier than normal.

" Huh,R-rae,W-what are you doing? "

His comment made her notice what she was holding onto. Her grip was like that of a  ferocious feline protecting what they care about  the most with all the might of their life and pride.

She tought about separating herself,but didnt wanna give Evah the room to do the same. After thinking hardly about something, she turned back to Evah.

Rae: " About your answer,this is what I think."

She turned back to him. Perceiving the newly found resolved in her eyes,the unrequited girl addressed him as well.

They had both shouted something,that made him both confused and happy at the same time. It seemed whatever Evah said caused the confusion . Alas,the later girl wasn't so pleased to have heard what she heard.

The content of their sentence was different but also very similar:

Rae: " I love you too.'

Evah:" I love you."

This last word Evah heard was enough to shatter all hope she ever had left.

" W-what I'm supposed to say to this?"

His face turned redder as he felt something on his cheek. It was a soft,warm and fuzzy sensation. He looked to his right to be trapped in eyes he adored.

" I guess that's your answer"

They both stared intensely at each other.

She started laughing cutely.

Rae: " I do love you as well."

Evah had lost. She may have been courageous,but some battle cannot be won on wits alone. She wondered why the world "too" was brought into this world. Why could words make people suffer so much?

She falled to her knees and cried her heart out. She begged to know why her life was so miserable.

Suddenly,a hand appeared in front of her. It wa engulfed by light,as if it was a sign of god.

" You know, this love thing, I don't understand it too much but you're a good personn. We could go for a cofee,the three of us."

Even though she should have been mad at him, she felt a sense of relief,as if she had recently cried on someone's shoulder.

Rae: " You know, you may have tought I disliked you but you're actually pretty funny. I wouldn't say no to hang out for some cofee."

The niceness she felt coming from those two was enough to relieve some of her pain. Only some,as broken hearts take longer to repair. 

She went on to remember the moments she spent with them at that cafe as the greatest of her life. After all,it was only the epilogue of her past self and the prologue of the new her.
