He searched aimlessly, every corner, every inch of every room.
He couldn't find her anywhere.
In an ironic turn of events, he didn't have to inspect around for long. She was standing there, in front of him.
" What are you searching for?", she asked wondering.
" I was searching for you", he responded quickly.
Rae:" Well, I'm here. What do you need?"
" You know, about that thing I said earlier."
Rae: " It must be nice, right. I wish you guys the best of luck."
She was genuine in her wish upon them but he could hear something else in her voice. It was like the mix of a sarcastic tone and an happy one. He couldn't really describe it.
" Rae?"
Rae: " What?!"
He didn't expect this vocal assault.
Rae: " Excuse me but I have things to do!"
" Why are you in such a hurry?"
She didn't want to answer. She started walking away from him.
The more steps she took, the more the scene replayed in her head.
Rae: " Yvonne's cool, right?", she said with a cold smile.
" I guess, but why are you saying it like that?!"
She turned back, unable to provide an answer. The next thing she knew, she couldn't control her words and asked him:
Rae: " You think she's more interesting ,right ?"
" I never said that?"
Rae: " Really, I swear I heard u tell her how much you loved her."
She was making stern faces.
" Is it me or you sound kind of je......."
Before he could finish that sentence, he noticed the hand in front of his nose. However, she could not muster the strength to do it.
" Please leave my nose alone!"
Rae: " I bet you wouldn't say that to her."
" Why would I want anybody to do that to my nose?!"
Someone had been watching them for a moment. They could have interjected at any moment but didn't feel like it.
Everybody could hear them arguing about noses.
Yvonne: " hmmm, if you guys are done, can we finally have lunch."
Rae:" Well, your wife said to stop"
" Isn't that a huge jump from before?! Also, I already told you, you have the wrong idea !"
The others were kind of amused by the spectacle.
Yvonne: " Yeah, yeah, you two."
She didn't seem interested whatsoever in what they had been talking about.
They went down the stairs before Rae got interpelled by Yvonne.
" Come here one second", she said.
