PARTING DAYS-Chapter V: Vows

The vow they made that day, they had swore to never break it.

It happened before they went on to wander in the city.

After meeting up, they sat on a bench engulfed in the morning sun.

Rae: " Do you wanna go 1st?"

She had said.

His embarrassment was very much visible. 

" Don't wanna."

The wind blew up in their faces, as if to mock the current embarrassment.

She looked to her right, questioning his intents.

Rae: " So, why did you make me come all the way up there?"

Absolute silence, a total lack of words.

" I-I made a mistake."

She assumed a relaxing position to feel more comfortable on the bench.

Rae: " A mistake ?"

His eyesight was focused on her eyes.

" You know, your eyes are pretty."

She rapidly slided farther into the bench.

Rae: " W-what are you saying!?"

She fickled her hair. 

Rae: " You're just saying that to be nice!"

He looked at her with confusion.

" You know I would not."

She sat back where she was at the beginning. 

She smiled and looked at the sky.

Rae: " You're right."

She opened a can she had bought before they sat and pointed at him.

Rae: " But the fact is, you've been kind of a douche to me." 

She had hit where it counted. 

He sighed.

" Can't argue with that, I guess..." 

She took a sip. While chugging down the content of the can, she remembered what she felt in the theater. 

She looked down. Staring with intent at the can.

Rae: " What you said at that time, was it true?"

She hadn't notice, but he had been sitting awfully close.

An hand supporting his right cheek, he turned his face right to hers.

" I won't make the same mistake. "

Upon fully realising how close he had been, a hot sensation seemed to almost burn her face. 

Rae: " What mistake?"

" That it wasn't you."

Rae: " Yes. You could have done way better....Wait, what did you say?!"

He continued.

" Say,if you had one vow to make, what would it be? "

Rae: " A vow? To who exactly?"

He firmly took her hand.

" My vow would be to always be with you, without fault, this time."

She opened her eyes, surprised at what he said, however she didn't left hold on the hand. 

Rae: " Doesn't sound too bad", she said looking at the ground.

" What about you? What would it be?"

She stopped a second before answering.

Rae: " Probably for the people I care about to always be happy and healthy."

He laughed happily at the prospect.

" That sounds just like you." 

He silenced himself for several seconds.

" But this is why I love you."

She felt some kind of warm sensation building up.

She sneakily catched his other hand.

Rae: " The second one would be for this to last."

She lifted all of their hand up close to both of their views and rested her head on his elbow.

Rae: " Me too..."

And so, they both looked at the distant sky view as they would go on to have some kind of experiment in the city.
