Cassandra woke up early. She was feeling bad for being brutal toward Jane. The brunette lived enough bad things in her life, Cassandra didn't want to be part of them. But, apparently, Jane woke up early too as she could hear the shower run. Cassandra got ready before going to the kitchen to place the food for the breakfast. While she was doing it, Jane got out of the bathroom, ready, drying her hair with a towel. The woman smiled to her, but Jane ignored her and just sat at the central island unit.
- "Did you sleep?" Cassandra frowned.
Jane shrugged. She took a bowl and filled it with cereals and milk before beginning to eat it.
- "You had another nightmare?"
- "Yeah."
- "I'm sorry if I overreacted yesterday. Pushing you like I did wasn't right. I'm sorry if I hurt you or scared you."
Jane nodded.
- "You have art class today?"
- "Yes. At the end of the day."
- "It's great. I'm sure you'll like it."
- "Yeah, yeah."
Cassandra could feel the anger. So, she decided to go behind her and to wrap her arms around her to hug her and to kiss her cheek. The brunette lightly rolled her eyes but didn't say anything.
- "You're not a monster," the woman softly said.
- "I'm not that sure."
- "I am. I know you. You're not a monster. And you know why you're not a monster?"
- "No. Why?" Jane frowned.
- "Because, today, you're bringing back the skateboard to its owner."
Jane had an amused sigh before lightly shaking her head which made smile her aunt.
- "Am I right?"
- "Maybe, yeah."
- "See? I knew it. You're not a monster."
- "Yeah..."
Cassandra rubbed Jane's shoulders before giving her some space. Jane didn't really plan to give back the skateboard, but she wasn't angry enough to not listen to her aunt. She quickly finished to eat her cereals before taking her backpack from her bedroom and leaving the apartment with her aunt. As Cassandra was working on the other side of the town, she couldn't drive Jane this morning, meaning that the brunette had to take the bus to go to school. On their way to the outside, they met one of their neighbors. Jane didn't know who she was and what they were talking about as she was wearing her headphone, but the woman was white, tall with long black hair in a bun, and wearing a long black dress with white dots as a pattern. She seemed friendly, but Jane felt weird, the woman had a strange look when she was looking at her. When they finished talking, Cassandra and Jane continued their way. The aunt gently took off Jane's headphone to say:
- "It's Melanie Green."
- "Okay. Cool."
- "She seems to be nice. I would like you to make an effort with our neighbors. She wants to organize a party with all the building this Summer."
- "Do I have to come!?"
- "I don't know. We'll see when it is. Maybe you'll make new friends!"
- "There are only old people in this building!"
- "I'm sure not. Anyway, I have to go. I see you tonight."
- "Yeah. Bye."
Cassandra kissed Jane's cheek before walking away. The brunette crossed the road to wait for her bus. She could run away without even worrying her aunt, but she didn't want the school to call her to tell her that she skipped school once again. She promised herself to do at least one week, to see if it was horrible or just boring.
Jane arrived early at school. As she was living far, she had to take the earliest bus of her vicinity. She took the opportunity of this almost empty High School to give back the skateboard. Of course, the redhead wasn't here yet, but Jane had already located this girl's locker. She placed the skateboard on them before walking away, not really caring if someone else would steal it or not. She went directly to her classroom and was glad to see it was empty. Like that, the seat at the back of the room was free. She sat, put her hood on her head, placed her headphone on her head, and looked at the conversationshe had with some sex-friends. She was about to open a picture of one of them when a brunette sat at the seat in front of her. It wouldn't have been a problem if this person wasn't turned in her direction.
- "What!?" Jane snapped, taking off her headphone.
- "You remember me?"
- "Um...Carla?"
- "Clara," she smiled. "How are you?"
- "Alive."
- "Uh...How was your first day?"
- "Shitty. Why do you even care!?"
- "I just-"
- "We both know what you want. You want my long fingers to shove your wet pussy while my tongue is stuffing your hard clit down until you squirt all over the place. Am I wrong!?"
Clara became red and lost her smile. Jane wondered if it was because she was horny or embarrassed. Clara looked away and began to turn around, but she stopped her movement and changed her expression. Her embarrassed face transformed into anger.
- "What's wrong with nice people!?"
- "They are hypocrites."
- "Really!? You never thought one second that, maybe, people could be interested by you!?" Clara got angry.
- "I know when a girl wants to fuck."
- "Just because I thought you were attractive!?"
- "That's not what your eyes were saying. You're not the first one who looked at me like you did yesterday. So, if you wanna fuck, you just need to ask," Jane sharply answered.
Clara frowned, confused. She didn't answer Jane, first because she didn't know what she wanted, but especially because some of her friends were entering the classroom. Jane looked out of the corner of her eyes and saw the redhead with her skateboard. The redhead pinched her lips together like if she wanted to thank her, but Jane ignored her and put again her headphone, wanting to be alone.
Jane ignored everyone the entire day. Some people tried to talk to her, but she answered them with her middle finger when she was running out of insults. But now she was a bit excited. It was her last class and it was art. She hadn't drawn for a long time now, she hoped she still knew how to do that. The room was small with tables in squares surrounded by four chairs. Some teens were already there, which meant that she had to sit next to someone. She looked at him, but the boy didn't seem happy to see her. At least, he wouldn't annoy her with his voice.
- "I know who you are," he said.
Well, he apparently wanted to talk to her.
- "What is it supposed to mean!?" Jane frowned.
- "You hit my mom."
- "Oh yeah? Can you prove it?"
- "When I told her your name, she told me that she recognized you. She recognized your smell. And you even smiled to her. Like if you were telling her that she was right."
- "It's still not a proof."
- "Shut up," he got angry, gritting his teeth. "You have nothing to do here!"
- "You're probably right."
Jane didn't want to bother him. He didn't seem to be a bully and talking to her like that was probably the hardest thing he had done in his life. She was respecting that, especially because he was defending his mother. But, at least, they were agreeing on one thing. She had nothing to do here.
