Max was in her bathroom to get ready. It wasn't her first date with Jane, but, every time, she wanted to look great for her. When she got out of her bedroom, Clarissa was in the couch, playing a video game.
- "Dumbo?" the blonde girl frowned.
- "Yes. She bought it for me," Max explained with a small smile.
- "Okay. Dumbo is cool. You really love her, do you?"
- "I mean, yeah, of course, I do. Is it bad? I know you think she is a heartbreaker—"
- "Come on, only a blind person wouldn't see she changed. The Jane she was one year ago is not the Jane she is now."
- "So, you're okay with that?"
- "You didn't ask my opinion when you began to date her! Why does it matter now?"
- "I don't know...You're my cousin, and you know Jane, your opinion matters for me," the redhead said.
- "Have fun with her. You're both in love, enjoy those moments."
- "Thank you. Have a good night."
- "You too!"
Max left her apartment and put her headphone on her ears. When she was in the bus, she was imagining the night with Jane. She knew Jane was mad about cheese, so she decided to prepare her mac & cheese with fresh cheeses she bought this afternoon. She would prepare the pastas herself too, with, maybe, Jane's help. She was wishing Jane would like it. She would hate herself if it was disgusting. After a few minutes of ride, Max finally arrived. When she knocked at the door, Jane welcomed her with a kiss. Max saw that Constance and Cassandra seemed to be about to leave. She saluted them before putting her paper bags on the kitchen unit island and her bags in Jane's bedroom.
- "Maybe I shouldn't go," Constance said.
- "Of course, you should go! I want my night alone with Max!" Jane replied.
- "You're selfish."
- "Yes! And Robin is nice, she knows you're a disaster."
- "...Okay."
- "Everything will be okay," Cassandra smiled. "You call me if you don't feel good, okay?"
- "Yeah...She shouldn't be long."
At the same moment, someone knocked at the door. Constance paled which made chuckle the others. Jane pushed her to force her to open.
- "Hey," Constance said with a weak voice.
- "Hey," Robin smiled. "You look great."
- "Thanks, you look great too."
- "What kind of night do you want? A classic night or a cool night?"
- "What's the difference?"
- "Well, classic night would be a movie at the movie theater and then eat at the restaurant. And a cool night would be ordering food and eat in a park with a nice view to talk about everything and nothing, and finish the night at my place, to drink something or whatever," Robin explained.
- "I like the cool night."
- "Alright, let's go for a cool night!"
Constance was happy that Robin asked her opinion. She was still worried in public places with too many people, she was scared to not react in a correct way and have problems. But now she was relaxed and even excited to go on this date. She kissed her sister and her aunt and followed Robin out of the building. Cassandra left a few minutes after Constance, letting Max and Jane alone.
