The next morning, Jane got woken up by the hammering in her brain. The headache was so strong that she was hallucinating. She was stuck in Mallory's bed, unable to move, while Harley Quinn was threatening her with a croquet mallet. Harley Quinn was screaming and hysterically laughing while she was shaking Jane's body again and again, terrifying the brunette. Jane began to scream too and to see blurry. She started and opened her eyes, seeing Mallory above her this time. She wasn't completely awake apparently. The blonde girl was holding Jane by her tee-shirt and looking at her with worried eyes while she was placing her hand on the brunette's forehead. Jane was soaked of her own sweat and was breathing heavily, completely lost.
                              - "You've fever," Mallory said. "What did you take yesterday to be in such a state!?"
Jane didn't answer. She was still shocked by her weird dream. Why Harley Quinn? She had never watched her movies! She wasn't even liking her! She wasn't knowing a thing about her! Probably a mix between the stress and the tiredness. The brunette looked at the blonde girl with round eyes before noticing the wide stain on the bed, understanding it was her own sweat which did that.
                              - "Don't worry. I'm more worried about you than my bed," Mallory said. "Your aunt called you four times this morning."
Jane frowned, still breathing heavily. She hoped her aunt wasn't going ballistic because she didn't answer yet. Cassandra was the kind to be easily freaked out when she didn't have news. As Jane was struggling to calm her breathing, Mallory placed her hands on Jane's cheeks and began to breath loudly and slowly, inviting Jane to do the same. The brunette looked at her friend and followed her breathing. After a few seconds, Jane was coming back to earth. She was feeling dizzy, but she was breathing normally now. Jane sat on the bed and rubbed her face. When she calmed down, she took her mobile phone and called her aunt.
                              - "Good morning, Jane," Cassandra happily said.
                              - "Um, hey," Jane answered with a hoarse voice.
                              - "I have some good news for you."
                              - "Good news?"
                              - "Yes! The power is back!"
                              - "...What? H-how?" the brunette frowned. "I didn't pay anything for the power."
                              - "Someone called me this morning to tell me all our depts were paid off and that the power was back. They even give us one month without paying."
                              - "...How is it possible!?"
                              - "I don't know! But it's a good thing, right?"
                              - "I-I guess!"
                              - "I'm going back to the apartment. What about you?"
                              - "I...I'll come back this afternoon."
                              - "Cool. See you."
                              - "Yeah, um, bye."
Jane hung up the phone and leaned her head against the wall behind her. Mallory sat next to her with an apple for her friend and for herself.
                              - "So? You're leaving?"
                              - "The power is back."
                              - "Oh! That's great! I'm happy for you!"
                              - "Yeah, you're happy that I'm leaving, right?" Jane stated.
                              - "Jane, you're always welcomed here, you know that."
                              - "Yeah. But I can't stay forever here, you've other things to do than taking care of me. Like...sleeping!"
                              - "...I guess," Mallory smiled.
Jane gently tapped Mallory's leg to tell her it was okay. The blonde girl smiled to her before taking a bite of her apple. Once completely awake, Jane gathered her stuff, said goodbye to Mallory, and left the apartment in direction of hers. She took the bus, feeling too tired to walk in the streets. It was too beautiful to be true. Why would the power be back whereas neither her aunt nor herself had paid the bills for months now? There was something weird. She hoped it wasn't another problem. When she arrived in her apartment, her aunt was in the couch, watching TV. It was something they stopped doing because of the bills. The woman quickly stood when she saw her niece and joined her.
