Jane didn't come back immediately to school. She needed to rest, and she wanted to spend as much time as possible with Max. The two girls went on dates almost every day, avoiding the bridge this time. Max returned to work too, but Mallory didn't lose hers. As another waitress was leaving, Max was replacing her, meaning that she was working with Mallory sometimes. Like that, the blonde girl could search for a new apartment for Lana and herself. Jane was beginning to feel better, and as she didn't want to catch up too many lessons, she decided to go back to school.

This time, she was relaxed. She couldn't live worse than those last months. Cassandra drove her to the building before going to work. Jane joined Max who was waiting for her outside. She quickly kissed her before offering her arm that she accepted. They were about to enter when someone took Jane's other arm.

- "Hey Bev," Jane chuckled.

- "Hey! I'm just here to balance, nothing more," she joked. "Act like if I wasn't there."

Max and Jane chuckled. The three girls entered the building and went to Jane's locker, talking about everything and nothing. When they arrived near her locker, they noticed that two persons were waiting for them. Well, they were more here for Jane. Gabrielle took Jane in her arms before saying:

- "Too bad you have only two arms!"

- "I have two arms just for you, if you need," Lucas intervened.

Gabrielle widely smiled to him before hugging him. Gabrielle told Jane how happy she was to finally see her before asking:

- "We're going to the diner after class, do you all wanna come? To celebrate Jane's return."

- "Yes, sure, we'll be here," Max answered.

- "Great, I can't wait!"

Gabrielle kissed the three girls' cheeks, making them all blush, before walking away with Lucas. Jane continued her day with no problem. She barely saw Alban or Alexandra today, and every time she did, the two teens were trying to avoid eyes contact with her which satisfied her. And Abigail strangely apologized to her. She wasn't hating her, so she forgave her. She was madder at Alban and Alexandra, but she never had problems with Abigail, especially because she seemed sincere in her apologizes. She even apologized to Max, Beverly, and the others. At least tensions disappeared.

As planned, at the end of the day, the group of friends went to the diner. They sat at a table in the middle of the place and all ordered burgers, Gabrielle inviting Jane.

- "So, you both are dating now?" Dustin asked.

- "Yep," Jane answered.

- "When did it happen?"

- "Oh, it's...complicated. We saw each other last summer, then we stopped because, you know, dummy Gary was here, and weeks ago we decided to date for real."

- "We were on a date when Neil threw her over the bridge," Max added, shivering at the memory.

- "That must be an unforgettable first date!" Mike said.

Jane and Max pouted and nodded. All the boys kept asking them questions about their relationship, until someone walked to them and stopped next to Jane. When the brunette turned her head and recognized the mountain next to her. She froze and paled and looked at her with begging eyes.

- "Yo, Shrimp!"

Jane was so focused on Mona that she barely noticed Laura and Tania behind her. For a second, Jane was back in prison, just before they all decided to take revenge of her "victims" on her. Jane began to shake which worried Max next to her.

- "You apparently remember us," Mona stated. "We...we learnt you were innocent, so we wanted to tell that...we're regretting what we did to you. We hope you can forgive us."

Jane didn't react. She was too scared of them to move. The three girls didn't wait for her to answer and left the diner, letting the group of friends. Max grabbed Jane's arm and lightly shook her before asking:

- "Is everything okay?"

Jane didn't answer. She stared into space before brutally standing.

- "Just give me a second," she said.

The brunette quickly got out of the diner and ran after Mona and her two friends.

- "Hey!" she snapped.

The three girls turned around to her, curious to hear what she had to say.

- "You really thought you could come back to my life like that and ask me to forgive you for what you did to me!? You all assaulted me and raped in prison for something I didn't do! You didn't even let me explain you the situation! And because of you, I have to do everything again! I was finally able to live with my past assaults, but because of you, I can't anymore! I can't even make love to my girlfriend because it still hurts! And you want me to forgive you for ruining my life!? You know what!? Yeah, I forgive you, but because you'll all have to live with what you did to me! You did exactly what you were punishing me for, but as I was innocent, it makes you rapists, but real ones!" Jane angrily stated. "Now, if you could disappear of my life, I would really appreciate! It's hard enough like that!"

Jane showed a clean pair of heels and returned inside the diner. When she sat again next to Max, she gave a quick look outside to be sure they were not following her.

- "Is everything okay?" Max asked in a low voice.

- "Yes, don't worry. I had something to tell them."

- "Were they in prison with you?"

Jane loudly gulped and nodded. As her girlfriend was still shaking, Max rubbed her hand and arm and placed her head on her shoulder to comfort her. After their burgers eaten, they separated. Jane asked Max to spend the night at home to introduce her to her aunt, as their relationship was becoming serious. They walked together the entire way before arriving in the apartment. When Jane opened her door, she had the good surprise to see guests inside.

- "Clarissa!" Max exclaimed.

The redhead quickly entered and took her cousin in her arms. But Jane was more focused on the other young woman next to her.

- "Are you definitely free?" Jane asked with tears in her eyes.

- "Um, yes. Definitely," Constance smiled.

The brunette threw her bag on the ground and ran to her sister's arms before bursting into tears. After all this time, they could finally be together, like a real family. Max broke the hug with her cousin and noticed that Jane was crying of happiness. The redhead gently rubbed her back to support her. Constance held out her hand to Max, still holding her sister with her other arm, and said:

- "I'm Constance, her sister."

- "I'm Max, her girlfriend," the redhead answered, shaking the girl's hand.

After a few minutes, Jane managed to calm down and hugged Clarissa this time.

- "I'm happy you're out too."

- "Yeah, there were too many people in prison! They got rid of us!"

- "Cool, it's amazing."

Now that everyone hugged everyone, Jane could introduce Max correctly to her family, especially her aunt who warmly smiled to her, happy to meet the person making happy her niece. As the weather was warm, they ate in the garden all together when Mallory joined them. The blonde girl thought it was the best moment to tell them she had found an apartment not far from here, with a real bathroom, a real kitchen, and two bedrooms. Constance explained she would find a job too, but for now she had electronic tag for one month, and a social worker would come here to help with her rehabilitation. Jane was happy, she would have her sister just for herself for one month. And Cat wouldn't be alone like that. Every time Jane was looking at her aunt, the woman was widely smiling with wet eyes. Jane was sure she was having the same expression on her face. It was probably the best night she had ever had for a while.
